Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but has anyone coated rotors and rotor housings w/ cersmic to help w/ heat? why would this or wouldn't this be a good idea? Not planning on doing this or even know if it would work, just for my curiosity

My engine builder coated his rotors and when his corner seals let go, and the engine was taken apart, the coating on the rotors was still fine, after like 50K. So i don't know what kind of coating was done to others, but the one from HPC worked real well. I hope everyone knows that there are different grades and thicknesses available. There isn't one magical coating that does it all.
