Boost

87 TII ported wastegate, FCD, 3" exhaust and down pipe, no cat.
Qestion is how can I cheat the boost up a bit? I'm getting 6lbs now but would like more. Whatb is the safe limit?
Thanks in advance...

that is what a boost controler is for...

get a bigger fuel pump and rewire it. and you should be good till 10psi

get yourself and EGT gauge too.

With a free flowing exhuast without the cat, the car should produce more boost than 6lbs. The turbo should spike some boost. Before you raise the boost you should make sure your fuel requirements are met.

When in your series of mods did you do the wastegate porting? The reason I ask is because without it you should be seeing more like 9or 10# if you have any kind of intake I would think. I am just looking to see how much boost you can drop by porting the S4 wastegate.
