Ive got a Cosmo 13B RE that we are building up and im trying to find a belt for water pump alt is it the same belt that the 3rd gens use?

 

also can put a S4 or s5 water pump housing on it to point the neck the right way. and also to ditch the twin thermastats?

 

I took off the cosmo crap and put on a S4 n/a housing and waterpump. I also removed the V-belt part of the main pulley because I don't have PS or A/C. The belt is just a regular one you can get at any autoparts store. The one I got is 5-rib 32" long.

 

Where did you get the engine from?

 

Call Atkins, they got the Serpentine pulley system for the 2nd gen front covers. It just matters which water pump you're going to use, S4 or S5.

 

I got mine from a guy here in Dallas. Ive got 2 more of them. If you need one let me know.

 

88fc3s- he doesn't need a serpentine setup, he already has one. Or doesn't the stock cosmo pulley fit over the FC front cover?

87gtr- Don't need one, mines still doing great but out of curiosity how much can you get one for?

 

you know where to get the cog type pully kit for RE?

 

Nope, not sure where to get a cog kit. Been running the cosmo crap all summer/fall. Woulden't it be the same as a FD kit?
