Well, how old are you now? For that matter, what car do you drive? We don't know anything about you b/c your forum profile is vague, which seems a bit shady.

Edit, just saw your age. 20 years old, and bragging about building 550 rwhp rotaries? Nice.

Ok I guess I wasnt really clear on what I meant and that was that he isnt really needed here becuase all he really does is cause problems I didnt mean every person that doesnt own an rx7 shouldnt be here. and as for spoolin I agree, and as for calling me a noob

Maybe you didn't see my post above about building the motor, there is alot more to BUILDING a car, than just the motor. The car i helped build was a wrecked turbo II, it had some frame damage, the interior was trashed, i helped with all that. and as i stated, the motor, i did not touch besides little things. And the motor was built by kevin launders.

And yes, i am only 20, believe me, i don't claim to know it all, i wish i did, i wish i was the know all of performance cars, i am not, i do how ever, have been tought by some of the best tuners in the country, but by no means, do i know it all, or ever claim i do.

Like i stated in the post above, there is a lot more to building a car than the motor, i cant take any credit for it, that was all kevin, and the owner of the car. i was just helping a friend out by tuning the car.

And you are right, me being only 20, i am not the know all of performance cars, but i've been fortunate enough to have great people to work under, and to teach me as much as they have.

And how do you expect me to remember the duty cycle of a car i tuned over a year ago?

I was going to keep my feet dry but I have to say something.
Blown LS Series cars make almost bare minimum 500whp and even more Torque.
They with that power they have run 10 second 1/4 times and trap upwards of 130mph.

Show me a bpu rx7, or bpu anything really, that traps 130mph. Basically theres no way in the hands of a decent driver that a stock turbo fd would walk a car like that.
An upgraded turbo FD with a little over 400whp would give it a good run.

in the thread starters defence,
I dont think its TOO Much of a stretch to belive what happened, I dont doubt you at all. I dont doubt you beat him, i doubt that that car was running as it should (driver mod/horrible tune/whatever) + one for your statement
PHP Code:
LOL. It's the trolls on here making it one. I simply stated my runs. Nothing more or less.

You're a troll that talks big and bad like he knows something. You back it up by saying you've built this and that, got called on it, and now you can't say ****. Pulling out a few dents and recovering a seat doesn't equate into performance knowledge. You didn't build the motor, so you can't speak on it's performance or how that performance is generated. You stand in the back while the real mechanics and tuners do all the work and then say, "See! Look what I did!"

I know I beat him. The first one was an even start. The second pull I delayed on purpose. I am thinking he meant to say 470 motor power. I would be 430ish motor power. That would easily verify the result. I still dont know why he said the 67mm supra comment. Maybe that car was backyard tuned or not running well. G

Look back a few post, it will answer your question.

Do you guys just like humiliating yourselfs or what?

Why dont you tell us more about the 450hp & 550hp setups since you were the builder/tuner. I call major BS on those claims. What kind of EMS did you tune with and target AFR /w timing?

Im sure you think you reall know your stuff. But my guess is you have no idea how to tune a rotary motor. You claim to have been taught by some of the best tuners in the country, so why dont you name a few.

Go play with your small block.

Thank god. Because you proved absolutely nothing. All you did was lie and show how little you really know. I dont think you even gave us one bit of evidence to support any claim you were making.

I really do hope your 300hp sti gets to run a 300hp FD. Like another member posted before, PM Kabooski I seem to recall him calling you guys out in another thread with no response from any of you.

How can you not understand that working on body panels and cleaning out the interior doesn't equal performance knowledge?

1) Power
2) Weight

only 8 more to go! Have fun.

it's not a "trump card"...it's physics...so when you can prove to me that 2+2 = 4 is false, then I might listen to your rant that power to weight isn't important and is merely a "trump card" that we pull out of our asses.

Somebody please go race this guy...PLEASE!

I was being facetious. I never said it wasn't important but it isn't the end-all to winning a race, and you can't deny that.

Threads like this are always interesting. Soon the original post is pretty well lost....lol! And it IS sad when the young 'uns with absolutely NO experience (or common sense!) come on and just....EMBARRASS themselves with foolish statements/claims. And when people like Rich and Chris and others who have built and owned some truly outstanding cars/engines offer REAL WORLD anecdotal evidence as to TRUE car potential and performance have these same punks try to take them on with their BULLSHIT....sigh, it is tragic.

And why the HELL is it so many "LS1" cars are the subject so often?

I've raced some SS Camaros and WS6 T/As in the past with a basically stock motor and gotten obliterated. I've raced some that I stayed up with pretty good. And I've raced some that I just outran by staying in it longer....lol! Now, my new engine is a helluva lot stronger than the old, but....I'm not going to go looking for supercharged LS1 cars to pick on. Why? Because a co-worker has a supercharged '97 Camaro (granted, it is a built 383) that is hands down the wickedest, fastest, scariest ******' car I've ever been in.
Period. Even with 285s on the rear he just can't get traction, it WILL smolder the tires thru 3rd gear.
It is FAST, folks.

Like i have stated, a few times before, that rx7 is by no means, hte only car i have worked on, and yes, i have done other work, to other cars, that you would consider "performance"

O well, iam not to worried about what you think. Its not gona effect me.

Well then name a few that give the TA the advantage in this race...the math was already done to show the power to weight...and the FD is ahead...so do you think the TA is more aerodynamic or what? What exactly is making the outcome of this race so hard for you to believe? I think that's the point everybody is making....and all you can say is we're just using the same old argument of power to weight...well we don't need to change the argument...because it's a fact...Why change a proven argument?
