Today after working a 12 hour shift I decided to take a cruise down Paul Bunyan Ave. I did a pass or two going about 30 MPH. A del Sol revved up at me. I just smiled and waved. Before long I seen a black 92-95 Civic coupe matched with a full body kit and a CF hood. He had a nice set of rims and tires on. And from the tires were sitting, it had a full suspension. His car had the basic Honda buzz, but somewhat quieter ( ) Thats all I knew at that moment.

I kept on going and before long the Civic was behind me. He must've U-turned. He passed me and went into the turning lane. I followed (since I do now have modifications worth speaking of), I ended up losing him in traffic but again I found myself behind him. Two blocks later I come up beside him and we end up being side by side. He looks at me and asks:

"Wanna race?"

Me wearing my neat0 safety glasses looks over and pushes them up (super nerd ;o).

"I just got off work (hinting I'm tired), but ok."

I hear honk 1, honk 2, and honk 3, I was rolling at about 15-20mph so I could still use first gear. I took off with a squak. I heard his engine roar to life but to no avail. The sound of a CS exhaust overtook his with the same exact thing happening to his car. I put 3-4 car lengths on him before I shut down. He rolled up a few blocks later and said "When this light turns red, I'm going." (Remind you of something?). I drop from 2500RPM and take off, totally destroying him by 3-4 car lengths again to the next light. We go again at the next light. Same result. He holds up a turbo from his backseat and yells "Just wait!" I'm like,

"Go to Sta-mart"

I follow him in and he asks me what I have in my car (check sig) and then I look over to his. Other then what was previously stated he had a stock 1.6 block (He has the EX model or something) with a CAI (true CAI even) and DC Sports header and some random Cat-back. his interior was ever so clean with a nice deck, short shifter, and some slick gauges. We pop his trunk and there is a ZEX nitrous bottle. He told me it was empty.

But right before I took off he mentioned something which I thought was a bit on a *******-gay side.

"You're lucky my engine is blown." He then sped away with tires a squaking.

Good kill. An Ex coupe means = D16 Single Vtec. He should have around 135hp 121 torque with the mods he ran you with.

125hp, 106 torque stock, he didn't gain that kind of torque with those modifications, those are the exact numbers of the B18A1 and i highly doubt an intake and header made him gain 10hp.

"You're lucky my engine is blown"? It sounds to me his engine was running perfect, i remember how slow my Civic was when i got it.

I don't think he was sparying when I raced him. It wasn't even like he was moving. But I could hear his exhaust wind up right before I hit my powerband. So I knew he was trying. I'll take a picture of his engine bay and ****. Maybe a vid of me beating him again.

On a sidenote. He referred to a Turbo TII as a Type 2, used only T3/T4 references, stage 1-2-3 turbos. And said a flywheel will make me rev harder.

I think he's gay.

I hope for the rematch vid he hooks up the Naws and blows the welds off his manifold.
