I was out enjoying a late night drive tonight by myself when I merged from one highway to another. As I looked over my shoulder to check for any cars I notice a clean black T/A coming up fast b4 he slowed down at my window(only other car on the road). I couldn't see the driver but he had a passanger that looked to be about my age 20s. I could tell they wanted to race because the guy was grinning from ear to ear with his arm out the window ready to flag us on.

First run was from 60. The start was pretty sloppy. The dude dropped his arm and I hit it but the T/A didn't. so I let off and he floors it. I quickly go WOT and pull about 1.5 - 2 cars on him through 3 gear before letting off for an upcoming bend in the highway.

Second run was a lot cleaner. After the bend the T/A catches back up the 2 guys give me a thumbs up. I return the props and heard him downshift again. We are now going about 50 so I downshift to 3rd and am about to take it to second then I hear him start the 3 honks. So I was like "oh well" and left it in 3rd gear. On the 3rd honk we both hit it at the same time and we were dead even a few seconds b4 I reached my powerband. Then by the top of 3rd I had close 3 cars on him. I shifted to fourth and took it up to about 125mph. By this point I had about a bus on him and his headlight were only getting smaller. (don't know when he let off)

I started slowing down and he reached his exit before he could catch back up. All in all it was a pretty fun night. they seemed like cool guys but i didn't get a chance to talk to them and find out what they had. But it sounded like it was stock. and I assume it was a m6 bc I could hear him downshift way before going WOT.

My mods are:
intake, full exhaust, efini y-pipe, PFS SMIC, PFC w/comm tuned by the Guru himself at Gotham, I was running a little over 13 psi

I saw you yesterday (Saturday afternoon) going down 71st towards mingo right in front of the mall. I was turning left to pick some thing up to eat at Ri Le @ 91st and Yale. You doing okay? i may hit up the gathering on friday/saturday...not for sure though.

Thanx , yea I've been doing good. you should deffinately come out next weekend, Kevin is coming down and bringing another FC guy. and Ben is finally back in town(not sure if you met him yet or not) but it should be pretty fun. did you ever get your FCD?

Nothing against you ProjectD....but why the hell does EVERY race story end with "and then they pulled off at the exit" or "Then they turned down the next street"???

Seriously, is it a 98% coincidence that one party always immediately turns off after a race?

No offence taken, I'm just telling the story how it went. I actually wish i wouldn't have kept going so long...I would have followed him off the highway to see if he had any mods but like the story goes....i didn't get the chance.

they like to do that here in tulsa, OK. i suppose the other party doesnt really care much more than just the actual race. i smoked this guy (my first race ever...but, it was not even a competition--old style toyota celica gt. but hey, he wanted to run, i never run before...as you could see from my dead stop drag launch...i didnt even hold REVS! i just took off from idle speed...still got him by 2 or 3 bus lengths--somehow) about a year or so ago. this was just on my way home from work. then i turned off to another street, and he drove past me and gave me a thumbs up. i see thats usually how it goes here. my g/f has smoked a few guys in the past in her car(s) but usually just for fun. maybe its just a local thing.

well the other week i put several bus lengths on a stock GSX(from a roll) and afterwords we pulled over and chatted (that's how i found out it was stock). i wish more peeps were like that.
