Shameful loss to another non-turbo 80's sportscar...

Nobody ever tries to race me so I'll post this little race between me and my friend from the land of slow *** non-turbo cars.

His car is an 85 n/a 300zx (160hp). We just put a new clutch in it, hollowed out his cat, and put a flowmaster on it (actually sounds pretty good). He also has an intake. My old 88 prelude si used to keep up with this car neck and neck before the new exhaust and clutch and the prelude was much slower car than my FB (seemingly). I have raced him in the FB before he got the exhaust and would pull away.

I had a 150lb passenger and he was alone. My car is totally stock right now. We lined up at a light and he squeeled tires while I didn't really launch just took off normaly then floored it. We were dead even through first and at the top of second he jumps like half a car on me then starts slowly pulling away. I'm like WTF? I totally just got beat by a frickin n/a Z. My car feels like its being choked above 6000 rpm so I hope the new exhaust will remedy that. I can make excuses all day but hopefully deleting the cat on my car will put the FB back ahead of the Z where it belongs.

Heres a pic of both cars together...

I've had more fun racing a 88 stock civic against an 90 sentra then anything else. Needless to say it was funny as hell. Still fun non the less. Get your exhaust and take revenge.

With all those high-performance mods it's hard to believe you lost. Have you tried vinyls?
