Well I am pretty sure this was a GTO. It might of been that C6 thing but I am not positive.

I was in my FD on my way down south too meet a couple forum members.

Getting on the freeway I noticed the pontiac was behind me getting on too. Well I go ahead and do a little spirited driving onto the freeway (I just went from 0-70 on the freeway really fast) and as I am cutting into the far left lane I see the GTO just hauling to get to my ***. Well he finally does and he is just sitting on my *** as I cruise at like 75 in the left lane with cars on the right.

There is pretty clear road up ahead so I get to the right lane, cruise for just a sec and then he starts just picking his *** up for a flyby, well I gave him to about just right on my *** and then I floored it. Hit it in 3rd and shifted into forth then stopping myself at about 100-110.

In the quick ness from 70-75 to about 100-110 I seemed to put about half a car or so on him.

After I slowed down because of a oncoming car uphead, he still had something to prove I guess and just kept flying down the freeway.

C6 'Vette as opposed to a GTO??? How in the world do you mix THOSE car's up. They're completely different.

I had a GTO kill in my old Turbo TII. It said '6.0' on the back, with dealership tags, it was light blue and there was some pissed off Israeli looking dude in it. Needless to say, we ran a couple times and I just walked easily away. It had to be an auto, but still those things are supposed to have like 350-400hp? The guy was pissed, and I was shocked, lol.

I had full exhaust, mild street-port and stock turbo set to 11-12psi or so. I almost want to call BS on myself, but... It's true. And the fact that we raced multiple times through 3rd and 4th confirms this *shocking* kill.

 

I think the original poster may be referring to the "G6"...another model in the Pontiac lineup. Since he saw it in his rear-view...maybe it was grill design that was so similar...They do have a G6 coupe.

Anyway, good kill! From what I've read on the 05-06 models, they can run a 12.9 with the right driver

 

GTO's got ***** man. Great low end torque. Must be nice to be shifting at only 3k and still post a better 0-60 time than most cars lol.

I thought the fto came with 5.7L. But i do agree if you raced it more than once there should be no question as to wether it was a gto or C6..No comparison in body or speed...Thank You ill be here nights and weekends.

The GTO on the other hand....now that is a beast of a straight-line monster. The later ones have 400 hp and some un-Godly amount of torque.
