What is the quickest or most moded car you smoked with your RX7?How close was the race?

 

A 98 Viper GTS. We started at the stop light and he quickly had half a car length on me. My boost started to hit in 3rd and I was pulling on him and began to pass by him when we both saw a cop coming in the opposite direction and we both backed down. He never cared to race me after that.

I raced an s4 that appeared to be fairly modded up to about 150mph. He kept right along side me till about 120 or so. That s4 pulled a lot harder than any vette or f-body I have ever raced.

 

I raced a 97' Cobra drop top. I raced all the way to 80 and let off. It was my friend, and he couldn't drive. The light went green and I got a great launch. He sat at the light roasting the tires crazy style.

 

300ZX TT and 240SX TURBO (s14)

300ZX was Twin Turbo'd i thought surly he'll eat my *** up, but i hung with his *** until 3rd gear, 80 something mph.

240SX big *** intercooler all nice, i ate him during second gear, no misshift or anything, and then i found out later that he runs low 14s high 13s, and i was thinking to myself, waste so much money and run stock times as me! hahaha

Zr-1 Vette and Viper RT/10 both went down pretty easy. I am looking for some real competition.

 

Hmm, i guess my best kill would be a C5 vette on I-75 after leaving Hot Import Nights in Atanta. The mos modded car i ever took was a Intera tat beloged to a buddy of mine, it was quick for a Teg.

Closest race was a spraying TA .... but I lost.

 

C5, but it wasn't a challenge.

 

A 76 Cosmo 13B 4 port, aggressive street port, weber 48 IDA, and a Cartech racing turbo kit with T04 60-1 A/R. 12-15psi boost. But the list goes on and on.....

Supercharged 97 Cobra running 7psi, said he was putting down about 340rwhp. Ran from a roll, 30-100 or so. I pulled hard on him at the top of second and all through 3rd, ended up about 3 lengths ahead. He had 2 passengers I had 1.

That's really the only race I've had that's been nearly close.. heh. Not enough competition around here, that and I don't like to street race often.

Supercharged Mustang.....no one believes me, but I swear I raced and beat him...some young asian guy in a newer Mustang. I heard the SC when he revved on me. I beat him by about a car, but it may have been because he couldn't drive.

 

A Yugo gt and barely won. He had the hamster in the cage on crack. sorry had to, I had a 86 GXL n/a pulled up to a red light next to a 1971 Challenger. Only reason I won was cause he stalled it. Pulled over to look at his car, it was nice he was running a 383 stroker with six pack, Muncie 4 spd, Dana 60 and a 150 shot. He told me it wouldn't happen again. We did run again and he destroyed me, but at least I can say I beat him once

 

Hmmm. I'd have to say a 2001 Roush Stage 3 Mustang. Guy was s/c'ed and intercooled, and claimed to be pushing 12 psi and to have cut a 12 flat at the strip. He had side exhaust and the Roush body kit. This was back when I was making around 330 to the ground.

First run we went about 1/4 of a mile from a 5 mph roll. I had him by about a car through 1st and most of 2nd. At about 60 mph he grabbed traction and caught me. By about 110-115 he was maybe half a car ahead when he shut down.

I wasn't letting it end like this, though. All of his Mustang pals were whooping it up, n/c I'd wasted every last one of them within the last month . The guy agreed to race for longer than a 1/4 mile this time.

The race was a carbon copy of the first one, but from 115 to 130 I pulled right past him and put maybe 3 or 4 cars on him up to 150. You should've seen the look on his face when I went past

 

Best car I pulled would have been a late 90's drop top Mustang GT I ran with yesterday. My car's not finished or tuned properly, but we ran about even in 3rd and I started to pull at higher rpm.

I also raped a new Civic SiR yesterday and had a fun run through the mountains with a modified C4 Corvette

Oh yeah, all with a passenger too, none of the other cars had a passenger

 

I beat a 93ish Mustang GT on the highway in the Volvo. He was not very pleased when I passed him at 120. :P
