Anyway. Yeah get rid of the Mustang, go with an FC. Even if you go with an all motor FC, they are still tons more fun to drive.

I would have to agree. Remove all of the emissions, get an SAFCII, gut your cats, and install about three ground wires in the engine bay one from tranny to firewall, manifold to strut tower and block to strut tower. Use opposite strut towers of course. The car should never give you a headache. guting your cats is some times necessary if the get clogged.
Good running FC, are we talking S4 or S5? Are we talking turbo or not? Wide range of prices to cover there. I'd say anywhere between 2,000 to 7,000 or 8,000 depending on how good, mileage, turbo or not, etc. etc. Too many variables for us to tell you how much a good running one costs.
I got my '89 base model for $1500 from someone that didn't know much about cars. It was bearly run, only 73000 miles and it has no dents or anything. So if you look around you can find one for a great price. just don't rush into it.

I guess it takes a V6 to be humble. I'd be more shocked if the oodles of GT owners that get spanked by us posted.
No shame in that loss, but you might want to do a lot of research on the car before you buy one. A rotary tends to stress your wallet moreso than other similarly performing vehicles. An RX7 can be the greatest car ever, and at the same time be the biggest PITA ever depending on the circumstances. Take your time and pick the right one if you are set on getting an RX7.

You'll have much greater peace of mind if you know that everything's already been refreshed.
Or you can be like me, buy one (fd), pay a decent amount for it, and have the motor pop on you after 2 months, and then 5k later, your car is running again (still waiting for that "up and running" part though, but money is gone).
I love my car and it's not a financial problem, but thats still money I earned that just went to fixing the motor.
Some days I wish I would of bought an S5 TII and called it a day.
