Neal, I didn't say ON the 9th...but around that date. Basically, I have from May 9th to about May 19th off LOL After that, I gotta study for the boards for 5 weeks or so. Think you can fit it in sometime in that week or two?

Shut up Neal LOL. A) Gauges add weight lol, and B) Who are you trying to fool? $20 says w/ a good tune, your car would SPANK mine. For those of you who don't know, Neal's rockin the new Stage III BNRs, sequentially, on a fresh reman

lol. Usually someone said "shhhh! Don't tell no one! It's a secret!"

That, and usually those ppl who wanna keep it a secret don't start a bunch of threads in the NE section discussing the progress of their secret in detail

I'll def. hit ya up soon

As for place, honestly...for perfect visibility, long straight stretches, very wide lanes and highway, and good pavement, the only local place I have in mind is Rt. 50 East, going from DC to Annapolis. Whatcha think? (In case you're not familiar w/ it, it's a 5 lane highway, EACH way and the average speed of ppl driving is usually about 85 - 90!)

well id definitly not be trying to do this at 3 am since i work 5-6 days a week. ya im not familiar with a lot of highways cause i rarely use them unless im in a big hurry. so you suggest some places and ill have to scope them out first. all i gotta say is if we pass a cop at 150 i have no intention of stopping. im thinking about changing my gearing back to stock for this race.

Bukwild, Route 66 is a horrible idea (no offense). VA is actually underway w/ an initiative to enforce speed limits more strictly out West, since it seems that they're not being enforced enough (read: since that area isn't pulling it's weight in raising revenue lol). That, and I simply WON'T race in VA. End of story. I'm not going to jail. I live here, and I know the drill.

I actually wanna do this in broad daylight. I'm not doing a buck fifty in the darkness of night. During the day, you can see the road and other cars, visibility is 100% (at this specific location), and you can also spot cops.

That said, I have absolutely NO plans of stopping either. I'm fairly certain in about 15 seconds, I can be out of visual sight of any cop, at any speed.

I miss the stretch of RT 8 near mexicali. Now that was a place where you can open a car up.

At the time I had everything you had (less gauges), a Pettit ECU instead of the PFC and a large FMIC. I ran against Z06s at the track and on the road, against a straight stock Z06 ('02, '01), I can just about keep pace. At the time I was running 12.2-12.6 at the track which is what a stock Z06 runs.
What you are stating is that with one less power mod (FMIC) than me and running 2 psi less you are pulling on a Z06? I'm not going to raise the bs flag, but I'm guessing the Z06 driver had a little better sensibility on public highways and didn't push his car.
Maybe it's your driving? Most Z06's lay down 335-360 rwhp and weigh 3100 lbs. 340 rwhp in an rx-7 that weighs less and you can only keep up? Read up my man...

Guys, chill...it doesn't matter. Fast or not, good at top end or not, I got a clear shot of it in my rearview, and that's ALL that matters

A bikini isn't going to make a fat girl hot.

An RC51 isn't going to make every rider fast.

I've seen a GSXR600 beat a Turbo Busa at the drag stip because the guy couldn't ride. So yeah I believe him that he beat an RC51, why the hell not?

You acusing someone of being a squid because they think the RC51 isn't that fast makes you look like a squid. Reason I say that is because you seem narrow minded and to me, that is what defines a squid. I'm sure you think a Busa can't turn either right?

ya busa i agree with you cause with bikes its always on the rider. im not biased toward any particular bike i just prefer suzukis better. ive ridden most of the bikes out right now and i still love my zuk.

by the way i never said fdnewbie didnt beat the bike. i have no prob believing his story thats why were gonna race. i want to see what i cna do against him cause ive only ever raced 1 other car.
