My FD vs. motorcycle, part 2, + My FD. vs. Z06! =-D
Today, I was on my way to the Fuddrucker's meet in Columbia MD, and I'm on 495 South, past the 95 Exit (so coming back down on the east side). I'm in the 2nd left lane, in 5th, doin about 80...just chillin. All of a sudden, something catches my eye in my rearview for a sec. By the time I look, it's ahead of me...a bike was HAULING down the left lane. I instinctly got on it, got into the left lane, and started to pull. About 2 seconds later, the guy on bike bent a bit, looking in his side view, saw that I was getting on it, and just opened her up. He took off, and I dropped it into 4th, went about 3/4 to almost WOT, and initially it took maybe 3 seconds until I started to pull on him. Then I started gaining on him nice...by about 120 - 130 I clear passed him, he was in my rearview, and I had to slam on the brakes for the traffic up ahead. Lucky for us the lanes were open when we were at it.
At this point, since I had slowed back down to about 70ish, he caught up, and came up alongside of me, turned to me, waved, and basically put his hand up signalling he had enough lol. I had the BIGGEST smile on my face, and my passenger was still kinda shook, cuz the car was pullin HARD Very very rarely do I bother to race on the road (dangerous, usually not worth it, and usually no worthy opponents lol). So a WOT run at those speeds is def something my passenger was new to
A min or two later, he was taking an exit, and I was continuing ahead, so I busted a move or two to get by him before he left, and read the writing on the bike, so I can post this and see if the bike's fast or what. I dunno jack when it comes to bikes. It was a Honda RCSI RVT Racing IIRC. I did a google search, and came up w/ nothing?
As for the Z06, when I was on my way home, on 495 East, near the VA/MD bridge, I spotted a black Z06, or shall I say it spotted me...because it jumped over to an open lane, and started to pull. So I jumped over 3 lanes, and dropped it into 4th, pulling it a bit. Once I got behind him, he just opened it up, and I laid on the gas. I was doin a full 13 psi, for a good 10 seconds or so (I was initially only at about 70mph cuz I was chillin), w/ him leading the way, and me slowly gaining on him. He was def. on it heavy. Then traffic got too dense, and we had to slow down. A few seconds later, he took an exit lane, and looked over. It was a white haired older gentleman! He waved, gave me a thumbs up, and my passenger did the same...and he went on his way. Wasn't a full all out run thru the top of 4th, but I was def. keeping up w/ him, and gaining slightly too. I woulda loved to try it on an open road for longer...
My mods: 1994 R2, body kit, CF vented hood, CF rear spoiler (for downforce), custom front undertray and RE rear diffuser, 245/35/18s front, 285/30/18s rear, on SSR GT3s, brembo x-drilled/slotted rotors, stock R2 suspension, PFS SMIC, fabbed hardpipe + greddy elbow, M2 intake & hardpipes, Pettit DP & MP, HKS CF Ti Exhaust, ACT HD S/S Clutch, PFS lightened flywheel, B&M Shortshifter (for mAdD fAsT sHiFtS yO! lol), PFC w/ aggressive PFS/Don'tBeARikki 13 psi WOT tune on stock twins, stock engine (87K), HKS Twin Power Ignition & Efini Y-pipe, Greddy pulley, stock fuel system (injectors & pump), TB coolant bypass lol...umm I think that's about it. Not that heavily modded.

RC51, not SI. Having been motorcycle shopping for a while, Ive looked at a few. Im actually picking up my new bike on Tuesday ('04 CBR600 F4i). But anyway, that is a fast bike, no offense, but I dont think if ridden properly, your car would stand a chance. Riding a bike "good" is pretty difficult though, especially for a new rider. I know I suck, and cant even come close to riding to my bike's full potential yet. Not an excuse, a kill is a kill, just wanted to put in my $.02.

Thanks for the clarification. And I was sure if it was a fast bike someone would say it wasn't ridden properly. Same thing happened in this kill https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=299449 (Part 1, where I beat a Gixer). I've also taken the new 2004 Porsche Carerra S (https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=367917). Both I pulled away from pretty hard around the 120+ mark. But hey, you could very well be right. A kill is a kill tho, nonetheless

nah that bike is crap on the highway. my 600 would hand it its *** without the nitrous. there a vtwin so they have lots of torque but no top end. they top out around 130-150 depending on mods but have no steam at those speeds. ill give you a go if you want.

Anyway, nice kills. Why, however, didn't you drop her into 3rd? It'll go to damn near 100mph at redline I think, unless you were just wanting to toy with them. Either way, great kills.

not yet, i'm waiting until i get the controller that way i don't have to run two maps or worry about adjusting the power commander when i want to use it. that big of a hit I don't want to take any chances.

aight well pm me an we can set up some specifics. do you want to race at the track or on the street. ill be at my local strip this weekend if the rain holds off. how do you want to go? from a dig or from a roll. youd have a much better chance from a roll cause i have it geared for acceleration. ya bring a camera cause id love to see a video of that. i still havent tested the nitrous on the dyno yet though so i dont know if ill spray. but im down for whatever

do you want me to bring anyone else like a gsxr1000 or a busa? just for ***** an giggles. ive got buddies with nitroused zx12's and stretched busas. and a mostly stock gsxr1000. i have the smallest bike of all my friends but its all good cause i dont need a 1000. by the way its a 2001 gsxr 600 with a full exhaust and fuel controller and a few other things probably pushing about 110 horsepower at the rear wheel.
by the way lets see some pics of the car fdnewbie

ya i can bring along a buddy in a seperate car if you want him to video. itll be close if we go from a roll you might take me unless i get the nitrous finished. but that dont mean i wont race.

Only reason I don't wanna do it at the track is I'm not gonna waste your time trying to run ya from a dig. I ain't the best at launching, and you'd spank me BAD. They wouldn't let ya use the strip for a rolling start race, would they? LOL
And nitrous? OMG. I think you're CRAZY man lol. Bikes are death traps as it is. Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to have a bike, but I'm pretty sure I'd kill myself in under 2 weeks. Adding turbos and nitrous to them...it's suicide. Besides, what the hell do you think I'm running? 600 to the wheels? lol. You won't need nitrous to keep up w/ me! I think just a straight run would be great...although the way you've been talkin, I think you're gonna take me
I say bring a couple of bikes...the 1000, a busa, whatever. It'll be real tight. And def. bring your friend in a car to videotape it. I'll have my friend doing the same (can't have him in the car w/ me...too much weight haha).
Since I wanna do this on the street (cuz I wanna do like a 40 to 140 or 160 run or somethin LOL... no half ***...goin ALL the way), if you're dead serious about this (as I am), we're gonna need a few cars. A few locals to stake out the spot, someone behind us, and one or two cars ahead of us, to make sure the coast is clear and stays clear as we're makin the run. I have a V-1, and walkie talkies would be good. 3 bikes and an RX7 doing 100+ would be VERY hard to miss, so I'd rather do this smart than just be like 'ok, on 3" lol
Oh and here are a few pics as per your request...
Right after a re-spray:
The doors (which are gonna be the extra weight slowing me down )
Aaaand...w/ the new wheels
The interior:

Just a suggestion guys. He might not be able to hear your horn if your going to go off that to start so you might want to think of something else to signal the start of the race.

Neal, yea you gotta get your car tuned. I finish school on May 9th I believe...so i'd like to do it a few days after that. That should give you MORE than enough time to get her tuned and play w/ her a bit afterwards, and for psychoboy to finish up his NO2 system

I hate to the one bursting the bubble. But here it goes, I had my car dynoed at 340 to the wheel running stock twins @15psi on a stock block, that is about the norm +-10whp depending what other mods you have. At the time I had everything you had (less gauges), a Pettit ECU instead of the PFC and a large FMIC. I ran against Z06s at the track and on the road, against a straight stock Z06 ('02, '01), I can just about keep pace. At the time I was running 12.2-12.6 at the track which is what a stock Z06 runs.
What you are stating is that with one less power mod (FMIC) than me and running 2 psi less you are pulling on a Z06? I'm not going to raise the bs flag, but I'm guessing the Z06 driver had a little better sensibility on public highways and didn't push his car.

No bubble bursting occurred, don't worry. I'm not cocky about my FD, but I'm pretty confident in it too. I've got a nice list of respectable kills. But you know what? Just for kicks, I think I'mma have Ray dyno my car before I run these bikes, to help separate fact from fiction. It can't hurt (provided the engine stays in one peice lol).
Oh and FYI, there's a WORLD of difference between the Pettit ECU and a PFC. Pettit is known for reliable tunes (read: less aggressive, less power, but safer). I have a PFC, which is fully programmable, and was tuned very aggressively for WOT. I don't know how you can even compare a set basemap from a static ECU to a fully programmable one. One (yours) we know how it's tuned, and the other (mine) is a complete variable. It's apples to oranges.
Also, I even remember when Ray first looked at the map, his first reaction was "Wow, who tuned this for you? It's really aggressive..." IMO, it's all in the tuning my friend.
