My FC vs moms Boxster S
Ok so my parents and I are arguing about whos car handles better and can take better corners. I've drivin my moms 2005 porsche boxster s and it didnt seem to handle, brake or accelerate as fast as mine
What do you guys think? I am I wrong to say my car handles better then hers?
Here are my specs
JDM s5 TII Front Half Conversion (RHD, Engine, Trans Etc.)
Microtech Stand alone ECU
Corksport 80mmdownpipe to 3inch all the way back
Puck type clutch
JDM Adjustable Tokico HTS601R
RS*R lowering springs
Front and Rear Strut Bars
Removed Emissions, AC, Blower motor, speakers,
Volk LE-37W 17" rims 225 tires all the way around

I'd say it should be close. Take them to a track day and find out.
I've owned 2 second gens, one of them turbo. I was a porsche tech for almost two years.
If both cars where stock I'd say the porsche But with your mods I'd say you may have a slight advantage. I love the way the boxster handles. If you still have the rear steer then that automatically makes the Porsche better.

Assuming you have the same tires, on your part knowledge on setting up the suspension and alignment right will make a huge difference. Does the Porsche have struts? 4 piston calipers? rotor thickness and size? Spring rates? Shes probably got you on the chassis flex department. Just a few more things to argue about.

It would be really hard to compare since it would also depend on the driver.

Thanks for the info guys. I performed the same cornering techniques at the same speed and they seem very close the front end of the porsche seems to want to slide and not grip more though.
The porsche is a type s but completely stock
My Suspension settings-
5 notches from fully loose in the front
rear is 7 notches from fully stiff
racing beat Rear DTSS Eliminators ARE installed
just weighed my car today 2550
The Porsche weighs a little under 3,000
I raced the Porsche once and I was beaten. It was very warm out and I had bad gas. My top mount inter cooler doesn't like it really hot air. If we race again I'll post the results. if thats not good enough i guess this thread will get closed.

my car is pretty gutted .
Its hard to launch with my puck clutch I wasnt used to it at the time. I know it seems I'm making excuses but I can honestly say if i race my moms porsche again i will most likely smoke it.
I raced a 1.8L turbo 2008 audi hatch that my dad had for a bit i just killed it. This was from a roll and at night. my dad said that Audi is faster then my moms Porsche so.
Another car i raced were some stock wrx STI 2000-2005 years and those races have always been extremely close 0 to about 80 we are still side by side.

no it has an electrical problem drop in revs to quickly will like cut my power (usually under 1000 rpms) which then stops tps from working etc.
I've let people who have alot more racing experience then me try launching my car and none have been able too launch properly. So I relly don't feel so bad
