First Kill in the FC

I had to take my friend to check out his car the other day (totalled do to water damage), and on our way home we were about to get on the highway when this guy in a 3rd gen eclipse starts trying to show off. To the best of my knowledge (from what I could see) he had a big spoiler, self painted body kit, and an at least 4".

So I was cruising at 45 in 5th and this guy was heading towards our (doing around 60 I would say) exit which was kind of a wide, uphill right turn. SO I looked at my friend was like "we can take him" and I just start slowly accelerating in 5th, as we get closer to to him, he speeds up a bit, and as we go into the turn I drop to thrid and start catching up to him. It's a two lane exit, and he was on the outside, and around the halfway point, I fly past him at about 85mph, and my best guess is he was clipping 70.

It was a good day to beat a ricer.

Also my car is an almost 100% stock 89 GXL aside from the corksport steel clutch line, and the Vert bbs wheels.

picture of the road we were on (bright red line).

Haha Ian it's great to see my old S5 is still killing the ricers. I took this guy on I-81 one day. He flew past me and my cousin doing probably 95 or so in his ZX2 Escort. My cousin was like oh hell no so I dropped a couple gears to catch up. You could tell the little 2.0L was struggling to go faster as we went buy him at about 120 LOL. And that's sad cause the 5th and 6th ports weren't even working at the time!

lol. Man it's still running strong. I had to replace the clutch slave and master cylinder and the brake master cylinder, but other than that I haven't had to do any maintanance other than oil changes. And it's still kicking out plenty of power to make ricers look bad haha.

Maybe a little bit. No one ever suspects the N/A FC to do any harm though

That's awesome to hear man. Sucks about the masters and slave cylinder but hey it is 19 years old. I gotta replace the slave cylinder in the SA tomorrow and pray the master is still okay LOL. I figured out that flooding issue too, it was a clogged return valve. I basically rebuilt the carb for nothing LOL. She's been awesome to me though, I just gotta get her painted LOL

So, did you go from 5th to 3rd when the car was in the corner? That's a good way to end up in a light post.
