woah woah now, lets not rule grass out just yet. it adds a bit of excitment to the game. yea, technically, racing should be at the track, we all know that, but at the same time, i got nothing against a little bit of fun on a deserted road (so long as both people want to, otherwise you get the ditch).
it also helps when the track wants $600 for a couple hours and you gotta book your time in advance, damn greedy track people.

try looking at it this way (and actually think about it instead of just saying it doesnt apply) if some guys minding his own business and you start eggin him on trying to picking and fight and he knocks you the **** out, is it his fault? yea he threw the punch but you caused it and thats what happened here, this wasnt some friendly little competition between two drivers, this was an ******* trying to "pick a fight" in a driving sense, and he got ditched as a result.
This isn't high school and this isn't the school playground. If it were to happen exactly like you say it did, you'd get arrested for assault, not him. I'm not saying that the saturn guy wasn't being a dick, I never even said he didn't deserve it, I just said that it was a.)Unsafe to run a car off the road and b.)Against the law.
im pretty much done with this argument since neither side will budge, but just for the hell of it merlin, if you were in his situation what would you have done. if a car had followed and harrassed and endangered both himself and you for the past 15 miles and showed no sign of leaving you alone, and he was now trying to illegally pass you for the sake of being infront of you on a one lane road (most likely so he could pester/endanger you some more), what would you have done? keep in mind that hindsight is 20/20 and the poster didnt have the opportunity to sit down and think about what he was going to do.

Long story but it was pretty cool so I thought I'd tell it anyway. So in any case, yes, I think he should've called the police. If they didn't have anyone around, dispatch would've told him what to do. A friend of mine who was selling his car got followed by a guy with a shotgun, apparently for cutting him off is what he told the police later. Steven called 911 and told them he was in a sports car, since he was on the interstate could he simply leave the guy in the truck since there was no traffic? Dispatch gave him the okay and said there was a unit that was up ahead waiting on them to pass by. Steven said he hit 127 by the time he passed the cop. That guy also got pulled over and arrested at gunpoint. The cop he passed came up and Steven thought he was going to get yelled at or maybe even get a ticket, but all the cop said was, "Man, that was the coolest thing I've ever seen. You came by me like "Zoooooooooom!"
Taking the law into your own hands is not only dangerous, but it can get you in some serious trouble. If there was a situation where I thought I may need to ram someone off the road, I'd be sure to make a 911 call first, but it'd sure be for something more serious than someone repeatedly passing me.

almost anytime someone is trying to chase someone else they are slow and gotta prove their car can beat something. when someone chases me I smoke em. next time just blow his doors off. you rarely see a fast car chase a slow one. how many high end car owners (ferrari, viper, whatever) chase civics with mufflers. the saturn guy was at fault get over it.
