i need some help,what do i need to do to beat a 05 SRT?he has 3in pipe and intake,25psi,i race him before i put my t4 and downpipe and beat me BAD!!!!!Now my car feels alot faster but i dont want to get beat again!BTW rolling start 30mph..

 

How much boost do you plan on running? What turbo? Is it tuned yet? My FD with minor bolt ons smoked 20+ psi SRT-4's .... I think at a decent boost level you should have a decent shot at beating him.

 

tune and boost will make all the difference.......you cannot lose again!!!

try getting a safc, you can tune it yourself, it's very easy, or get a aeromotive 1:1 fpr, that will also help you.

 

You should smoke SRT-4s.

Don't waste your money on an S-AFC. They are completely useless tools.

What turbo is it? A T04 GReddy doesn't really narrow it down too much...

The optimal situation would be saving up for a standalone.. you can get one for well under a grand these days if you do the install yourself.

And you just missed Steve Kan in Atlanta like a week ago. I waxed an SRT4 the other week. He was 3" exaust (open via electric cutout), intake, upped boost (dunno to what). I gave him 4 cars + the break, from a dig. Beat him by a bus in the 1/4. He was a *****. Only wanted to race for $100.

 

it's called partial throttle, and slipping the clutch. besides, srt-4's just spin anyways, they can't launch for ****. trust me, if you race him from a dig, you WILL rape him.

well one thing you need to so is get rid of all that crap under your hood, ie bacv, acv,tmic...
why did you upgrade turbo but not the intercooler.... the tmic is not going to be enough to cool down more than 8-9 lbs so just go with the fmic

Well, I guess there's little hope for you beating the SRT-4. I've never seen a car with the retard lights that did any better than a 15sec 1/4. I think the retard lights create some type of speed barrier. And with the Euro wiper, better add another second to your 1/4 times.

its not gonna get tuned unless you get another ecu, you cant tune the stocker. also be very careful on that 8 psi, im really suprised that you havent been hitting fuel cut. depending on the turbo (TO4 tells me nothing) you will probably need bigger injectors as well. be careful!!!
