It really depends on what the SRT is running too. if he is running 25psi he is either A) lying about it or B) he has big turbo. Stock turbo on the SRT is only useful around 20-22psi, above that you're just blowing alot of hot air. If he's running that much boost he would need to have a fuel system upgrade along with a management system, which would tell me he's tuned. And to run that high of boost you need a bunch of other supporting mods too.

But sereously, the only way he'd be running 25psi is on a big turbo, so if you can check under his hood and see do it. Because you dont know if he's 25psi on a 50-trim pushing 350whp or on a 3076R pushing over 400whp or on a stocker pushing 280whp...haha.

And yes, try to race him from a dig... most SRT drivers suck at launching. I mean i can cut a mid 12 sec pass in mine but that's because i actually know how to drive and i'm not some 16yo ******** who thinks he's God on the street... unlike the majority.

 

Why do people insist on doing things so half assed? Do not buy an SAFC to tune an upgraded turbo system. You need a real EMS that can control timing as well, not just fuel.

8 psi on a larger turbo is NOT THE SAME as 8 psi on the stock turbo. The larger turbo will be pushing more air at the same psi as the stocker. You might think your only pushing as much air as the stock turbo can but your pushing more and running leaner because of it.

Get a real EMS and get it tuned before you blow up your motor.

 

thank for all the help guy!we raced lastnight i turn the boost down to7psi and from a dig i smoked him,coming out of 2nd i left him!turn out hes running stock turbo @19psi but i got him by about 25ft....

Good kill. 19lbs on the stocker sounds appropriate for the SRT. Now go get that thing tuned.

 

theres a place in NC thats going to tune for me nextweek,today i got my haltec in the mail but it looks like a bitch to put in!

 

Haltechs are a bitch to install on most cars, yes... But ultimately it's worth it. Good stand-alone systems. Once you get that thing tuned though you should stomp the SRT-4
