I think this kid's bragging his brother's up a little much, and 2. you didn't try to say that evo would walk an r1 on the highway. I could be wrong with the calling bullshit thing, (on the florida kid, not the louisiana one) but I think I smell it. and at least you could name some mods, and boost levels, horsepower, etc.
plus, like I said, stock one's aren't that impressive.

Stock EVOs are okay, nothing speical, but okay.

I've never seen my friend race a R1 so I can't say weather or not he can beat one.

 

evo's are incredibly "de-tuned" from the factory. There are only a handful of cars that respond to mods as well as the evo does. A stock 03 VIII is nothing compared to an 06 IX, 03's dyno around 220-235 range, as IX's dyno anywhere between 250-265(my 03 dynoed at 255 w/BC and turbo back). To say a stock IX is "unimpressive" is ignorant.

Now if you have only driven 03-05's then i retract my previous statements.

I know they can be made fast, and modded, are definitely a handfull. but this kid tried to say his bro's evo would rape 1000cc bikes. and that it would rape an r1 (9 sec 1/4 mile) in the 1/4. if that were the case, his bro wouldn't be driving that car on the street. it's probably modded, and kinda fast, but I'm saying it's not the fastest thing on the road (like this kid is trying to say)

 

My friends EVO ( the 750whp one) is street driven. I what he runs at the track though.

intake with full exhaust, intercooler, fuel pump, 1300cc injectors, power fc tuned to 15psi. prett easy actually. those are basic boltons. Additionally i performed these mods 5 yrs ago and the car is sitll running like the day i performed them. this fd is one of the msot reliable cars that i have ever owned. Pretty nice considering its making 65% more rwhp over stock.

my car cleary isnt stock but the motor and turbos sure are. my car has all the BOLTONS which means the exhaust intake injectors fuel pump and intercooler have been upgraded. People use the term stock twin or stock twin/stock engine to say just that....the car is still running the stock engine and stock twins. this is very common terminology around here. i didnt know i need to list every mod on my car to qualify what i am posting. i guess u havent been arouind these parts much.

 

well, sorry, but i dont consider modified boost on stock twins to still be considered stock twins, because stock twins don't make 15psi.

 

if it's the turbo's that came stock on the car, then it is stock twins.

dude come on. seriosuly. my car makes 360 and weighs 2700. the z06 makes 390 and weighs just over 3100. additionally the stock twins spool like a ****** ****** and the power band is extremely flat. the car basically makes the full 360 for the whoile power band.

Another 21 yr old driving a '91 N/A FC that can't cross multiply to see the 6% ZO6 power to weight deficit. Pls tell us all you, "just figured this out" or you are likely going to get your math skills polished by other forum members.

Is anyone else amazed how often today's youngsters can't do simple math (forget the fact some don't understand stock twins running more boost are still STOCK twins ). Arrgh. End of rant.
