i beat a WRX, must be they sucks lol

i can believe this, i have a 89 GTU almost stock, and two months ago when i had the holley carb and 1st gen dizzy, everthing else stock, and i beat 2 WRX's, the story goes i was going to my house on a friday night and i stopped on the light ( im not gonna say the road was) and this red subbie stopped next to me, he reved and he looked at me and when the light turned green we took off and he got a half a car over me so i kept going and hit sec gear and i started catching on him slowly and after i hit 3 gear i was bumper to bumper and almost hiting 4rth i passed him and let off. so i won. i still dont know how i won but i passed him and won. since them im being playing with the FI sistem and ditched the holley carb, now i have factory everything ext for the turbo II intake manifold and 3 inch custom cold airt intake. so this morning i was going on the same spot and another subbie this one is blue but he had a exhaust it all i can notice of it stopped same spot and turned green and same deal got me half of a car and i actually have to go in fourth gear to pass him but i beat him. i can understand, are they underpower or what, im N/A and they are turbo and still beat them, thats embarising

a factory wrx only makes like 225 or 255 i don't exactly remember. from they factory they are not very quick. it is the ones with proper work done to them you have to worry about. Good kills though not to take anything away from ya.

I find this hard to believe.

Must have been an RS (165BHP, 110AWHP) if he was trying: your mostly stock NA would have no chance against a stock WRX from a dig if it was driven properly.

If they were stock WRX's and not STi's then it might be close. I'll bet you didn't exactly walk away from them. They definitely weren't STi's.

wow!!!! im sure that makes up for the 60hp and awd that he already has on you. were not doubting your story were doubting your knowledge of subies. early 2k impreze rs has the same hood scoop as the later wrx's although the rs' is smaller and isnt functional. i can guarantee you didnt race a wrx. you n/a guys with your intakes drive me nuts thinking your cai and tranny mods can make up 60hp

In dry conditions the awd isn't really an advantage...
He will get the initial jump on you, but they lose more power to the wheels than a 2wd car due to drivetrain friction.

I'm not calling BS and I'm not sayin I believe you. But I think every thread in this section is useless without video because you will always get bitches calling BS etc...

it could be a wannabe WRX , i dont know, they had the hood scoop and the WRX badge on the back but it could be a 2.5RS, and yes it was the ones with the round headlights, not the new ones. it seems suprizing that i beat one and i didnt pull away real quick took me time 4 gear and hammer to the ground slowlly gaining plus i know how to drag race isnt my first race or my sec one at all. i drag raced and street raced before with my gslse turbo and i know how quick these cars is. im not making this up and like i said before im surprised and i know my almost stock N/A dont have alot of power, at lease compare to my old turbo gslse

stock wrx put out 227hp at the flywheel. I imagine they only put down like 150-160 to the wheels. and what do they weigh, just over 3000 pounds? .. They only have good 0-60times because they can launch hard. . that's it . .They really arn't fast cars
