They have AWD. Very little is lost through the drivetrain IIRC.

So what? His ISN'T. A near stock N/A is not going to walk a wrx. They run like 14.5 stock. To my knowledge..that is close to a stock TII.

A good friend of mine dynoed his stock sti and only put down 227awhp. That's a lose of 73hp. . That seems like a pretty big loss in my opinion. Granted the loss in a wrx will be a bit less possibly, but not much. . it still is very beleivable that the n/a could have got it. Sense when do awd cars have very little drivetrain loss? hahaha

dom i feel bad for your friend if indeed his sti only dynoed at 227 thats a 25% drivetrain loss. now i have seen sti's as low as 240 but never 227 he should go get his money back

I still think that 20-25% loss sounds about right for a awd car. . that's alot of **** to turn

I've found that the majority of guys driving stock WRXs can't drive for ****. Launching an AWD car can be tricky, and a lot of those guys just don't worry about taking the time to learn how to properly drive the car.

A stock WRX with a proper driver will run 14 flat in the quarter. Most people that drive WRXs are lucky to see 14s. Which may explain why th race was so close.

Have you ever brought your FC to the track?

A stock WRX can indeed run a 14 flat, but only if the driver is willing to risk busting one of the differentials by launching high enough to take advantage of the AWD. On average they put down 170awhp stock, which still should be enough to take out a n/a if driven at all.

listen I have driven multiple wrx's and I own a TII. A stock WRX will be pretty close to even with my TII up to about 90 or so mph. No way your non turbo could have taken a wrx and if so the guy didnt launch and didnt drive his car. Most WRX's should run high 14's stock with a decent driver. People underestimate them because of the fact that the turbo lag sucks for a stock car. I am trying to sell my car to get a WRX in fact... better gas mileage and AWD a necessity in New England

the wrx must have been the 2.5 rs model like stated above
the regular ones are 225 stock and with awd.
drag is way better of a race for them
