So I'm in Orlando at around 10:00 tonight, just getting on the 408 Expressway (toll road for those of you that don't live in FL.) It pretty much runs by the whole city. My friend in his SC400 and me in my GXL hit the on ramp, and surprised at the open lanes, punch it.

I hit the highway in second gear doing about 60, steadily cruising with him up to 70 ish. About 10 minutes into the trip we hit a toll booth, I've got autopay, while my friend pulls off to pay at a booth. Upon leaving the toll, I look to my right and see what looks to be a black honda civic. Typical ricer crap. Big wing, bodykit. I throw it into second and the rpms hit 5, and he speeds up. I floor the pedal. Running through the gears, shifting at 6.5, I blow by him about 5-6 seconds later.

So much for ricer number one. never saw him again after he helplessly tried to catch up.

fast forward to about 8 minutes down the road, and I see what I *THINK* to be the tail lights of a 99 spec FD. So i downshift and kick it up to get closer, only to find out that as I get closer, its a shitty prelude with altezzas. I get by him to run him, and he pulls off. shifting just before redline, i manage to catch him and pull by at about 100 ish.

Not believing this ****, two kills within 20 minutes of one another, I grab my phone and call my friend in the Sc400, to tell him the results. right after I mention it he replies back "hes revving at me im gonna take him"

So I look to my right and surprised as hell, theres my friend in the sc400, and the prelude takes off again. my friend punches it and they disappear around the corner.

by the time the next toolbooth hits, he again pulls off to the booth while i go through,except I see a black car in pursuit of him. about 10 minutes later I get off the expressway and wait at our friends place for him to get back. turns out the other car was a Sentra SER. Only one to keep up with him the entire night.

What year prelude?

I raced a newer prelude, a type sh. And it completely demolished me.

I also raced another prelude, not a type sh, and it beat me too. The newer preludes have a bit more horsepower then us and weigh near the same.

If it was an older prelude, the boxer looking ones, like 89 or 90, then yea, they can be slow too. 2.0Si .

Good kills though, gotta love the spirited driving.

 

All H22 preludes have the same hp, SH/Base/4G...SH only means its has the Active torque transfer system which is almost like an electronic LSD.
