gti vs my seven
gti vs my seven
i have a 1987 turboii completely stock save for a RB catback sitting in the basement waiting to be installed (just got it today)
this kid in this 4-cylinder 2004 gti with a CAI and tiptronic is pretty sure he could beat me
i doubt that, but who's correct, i dont want to be embarrassed

why bother? hes just another kid that wants to street race and gather bragging rights of how he beat JDM cars...
edit: both are low 15 second cars stock... actually i think they get the same exact time on the 1/4... so.. theres no garentees that you will win.

so i supposed it becomes a question of driver skill?
unfortuately his tiptronic will shift in a third the time my worn bushings will allow me too, so i have to get that fixed
btw, i wouldnt actually race him. its retarded to risk getting caught over something dumb like that

I don't street-race; I'm not fast-and-furious and I love my car too much to endanger it.
I do however recall some late-model turbo VW (not sure which model, just remember reading turbo on the back) speeding up behind me one morning on my way to work and passing me in the slow lane with a smirk on his face. Obviously he thought his VW was hot ****.
Anyway, we got to where the highway curved and there was no other drivers on the road, so I accelerated to catch up with him. He saw me coming up and I heard him downshift and floor it. I didn't even downshift and passed him on the outside lane and smirked. Poor guy, he was trying his hardest to catch up.
