Friendly Race
Was out with a couple people and my brothers friend did an engine swap or something but it was single turbo (more of a friend of my brothers so i dont really talk to him much)
Its a 240 and the motor was built (learned this after the fact, my brother told me)
well he has been wanting to test out his car against my car and i hear he kept saying i would lose
i did not care if i win or lose,
so its a super cold night here in florida last night (hottest my car got was 80-82c on the pfc and air temp was in the low 20s), and a bunch of cars were going to meet up on US27 to watch the races and i figured to go watch and take my car out in this beautiful weather. on the way there we had 3 runs
First run i wasnt paying attention at what speed we were but i was at about 5k in third i get the jump on his because he doesnt have a horn and my horn isnt to loud.
but i jump him about 2 or 3 cars and keeps that distance, after that run he pulls over and i see his i/c coupler popped off..
Second run was pretty much the same i got the jump on him a little and i think he was about a car away and keeping up
Third run we slowed down a bit and did a second gear pull which i was about 5k maybe 5.5k. a friend in the back honk his horn for us so it would be even, we go and we both start spinning i caught grip first and took off on him. a couple cars behind he was and i slow down and just drive to the spot.
after i didnt see him no more at meet and asked where he was.. i heard he blew his motor
and went home to get the truck to tow it back.
when he wanted to race he lied to me and said he was at 10psi.. i later found out that it was at 28psi
i didnt like the fact i was lied to, if he wanted to see what the car can do up against mine i could care less if he won but you dont have to lie.
but the car was pretty much even with me, i wasnt pulling away and he wasnt catching up. a good friendly race

It kept up with me so it was pretty fast, and I learned last night that he blew because he miss shifted from 4th to 3rd while going to 5th, powershifting
Don't be offended, it's street racing. Everyone is lying until proven otherwise. It's part of the game. Nice kill, so much for those rumors about rotaries blowing up - that bonger couldn't take the boost.

yea but i thought that a friend of my brothers wouldnt lie to me..
and it wasnt the boost that blew the motor, as he was trying to powershift from 4th to 5th, he missed 5th and went into 3rd...
brother told me that he already put another motor in the car, not sure if its the same kind or what, but i dont plan on running him again.

i hate the track, i rather not put the added stress of the launch on the car or just roll off the start.. i rather auto x, much more fun than going straight. hope when i have some extra money after the holidays i can buy a good set of tires and do an event.
yes it was, i think if we both had a good launch i might of just won by very little.
