first race (loss)

Before i tell the story my mods are downpipe, exhaust, and intake.. ive only had the fd for a little while and i just learned to drive stick a month ago... ok.. I was making a left turn onto a long stretch of open road and an srt-4 pulls up behind me, the guy driving is giving me the look like he wants to go. So the light turns green and i start off slow and as soon as im straight i gun it (hes right behind me) at the same time he guns it and gets over.. by second his front bumpers at my door, and by third my front bumper is at his back bumper, we shut it down right then and both slowed down.. as far as i could tell he had a bov, exhaust and a bunch of guages.. this car was so unbelievably loud, it sounded like a train was next to me lol. Is my car not up to par performance wise, or was this srt4 really fast? Anyways it was a fun race and i lost .
