I was out on the streets saturday night hanging out with some other car guys, many quite a bit faster than I. At the end of the night, my friend, Matt and his Turbo LQ4 Foxbody Mustang decided to head home. Before we left, he turned the boost down for me to make it a better race. He would have pulled me hard at his current level.

On the way back. We got on the highway and made a quick pull. I can't remember the results, and I think it was an uneven start since neither of us have a horn that is loud enough to hear over our cars. After the pull, some headlights came screaming up on us. My first thought was a cop, but these lights were too low and wide to be a cop and my V1 didn't even pick up a blip. Turns out it was an NSX that wanted some action.

We all pull around the one other car on the road and line up 3-wide. The nsx in the middle and Matt and I on each side of him. I build full boost off the brake, the meth is flowing and the whole car just sounds like it wants to kill someone. He honks it off and we go. Slow and I both left him like he wasn't even racing. We both ran up to 150 and let off. Slow and I ran fairly even with him putting his rear fender at my front. The NSX was probably 8-10 bus lengths back. This guy was probably wondering wtf he just got into. I wish we had video of it.

Matt and I made another pull and he would just inch on me in 4th each time. I'd end up at his rear fender. It was much closer than I thought it would be. I figured he would get me by a car at least. Good stuff.

He did catch back up and had a big ****-eating grin on his face. He definitely wasn't pissed about getting beat like that. I know i wouldn't have been.

 

right on... I think that would have been my reaction as well, "like WTF did I just stumble upon lol"

So You have a 10sec FD and the Mustang turned the boost down to race you? That thing must fly!!!

 

If he would have left the boost up it would have looked like i was tied to a stump.
