FD vs Lambo?? Sorta??

Alright, well after running my friends WRX last night, and getting my bro some food, were about to head out and see an M3 and LAMBO pass the street were about to get on. My adredaline starts pumping, I dont even bother with the m3 cause I know what i'll do to that thing (see FD vs M3); but I wanted a piece of the lambo regardless if I lost just to see what happens. The guy NEVER ran it. I mean I told him, 1st gear roll!!! And he's like "i dont have the time"; later he tells my friend with the wrx that it will be a raping! My friend offered 40$ to pay for his gas and he didnt!! What what!! I couldnt beleive that sh*t. w/e F*cking guy raced an m3 but wont race the 7.

You offered a guy driving a Lambo $40 to race a Mazda? You may want to think about that for a sec.

trust me, its not always about that.

one of my good friends (who is a customer in my store) owns a Vanquish and the 2 times he took me for a ride, he got more revs at him than ive ever seen in my life. he didn't race any of them. i asked why and he said, i bought this car to enjoy properly. if i wanted to gun it, i'll do it for my own benefit and not to beat someone else.

Thats great, but this guy gunned it to beat an m3 =/, and he doesnt want to race an rx7 or a wrx. I mean if he didnt race ANYBODY i can understand that, but dont pick the M just because you know you'll own it. w/e, I personally dont care just would have been fun.

Maybe he had enough for the day. I get all sorts of people trying to race me when I had my Fd and even more, now that I drive an NSX. I've had punk kids stop me by standing in front of my NSX while I'm trying to park at Denny's and "begging" me to race them in their WRXs and Supras...sorry, but all I wanted that night were some eggs and toast.

Racing the M3 might have been his challenge for the week/month/year who knows...

Are you POSITIVE he was racing? maybe the M3 was racing and not the lambo...

Or the M3 kept hounding him and finally to shut him up the lambo gunned it. You never know.

Also why should a guy in a lambo race you/us? what does he have to prove? yay he beat a mazda... but if he loses of fawk! the shame. Therefore, no glory or shame those are his two choices. So again why should he race?

If I had a Lambo I wouldn't race you either. It is like this. In my FD I wont race Neons, Civics, Miatas, etc. There is just not point in it for me. I dont care if they run 9s and or have 10,000whp. They are not even contenders in my world. I will only race Corvettes, Vipers, Porsches and up. Bascially, if it isnt RWD or AWD and I dont think it will run 11s I am not interested in racing it.

If I had a Lambo I wouldnt see a RX-7 or a WRX (funny I own both cars) as a contender. You would have to have a 911 turbo, Ferrari 550, Lotus V8 TT, Viper, etc to get my attention. There just would be no value in beating or losing to a $20K-$30K car. An M3 at least is in the same magazines as a Lambo (Dupont Registry) and thus might (really streatching it here) be seen as a contender.

I would race anyone who challenged me regardless of if it were a civic, miata, etc.. because you never know. Just because of the price tag it doesn't mean that it can't beat you or be a good clean fun race.

In ATL they put you in jail, suspend your license, and impound your car for street racing. Not to mention the massive fines and increased/loss of insurance. If I am going to risk that I better get some real bragging rights or big money out of it. As far as I am concered beating a Civic with a highly modified FD is not exactly bragging rights. Just as beating a sub $40K car to a Lambo is not exactly bragging rights.

Imagine this kill story on a Lambo site. I just killed a WRX/RX-7 with my 2005 580hp V12 Lambo.

or to put it perspective

I just killed a Neon with my 400whp single turbo FD.

Not exactly a great kill story. In fact the real response to either kill would be, why did you waste the gas and widen the hole in the ozone layer??

I saw him last night again at the hang out, I mentioned it to someone and they confirmed my thoughts, he scared to race anything that he's not sure he's going to beat so w/e.

when the WRX first came out, i read a magazine article (either Motor Trend or R&T, can't remember which one), and they were talking about how it was faster to 60 than the '82 Countach, and how much technology has evolved from a 100+k supercar of the '80's to a ~$25k sedan of the new millenium. anything that runs sub-6 seconds to 60 will at least keep up with a stock Countach.

The guy probably has a diablo, they really aren't that fast but they have some great top end, most Diablos are low 13's, I think later on they dropped into the mid 12's nothing impreseive for a ~$250,000 car, actually pretty slow, I think the countach was high 13's -low 14's depending on the year, hell I could probably take one in my 99 buick. The new Lambos are pretty fast though, the Gallardo and Murcielago are low 12's high 11's.

Any excuse to floor it is all I need.
I'll race a soccer mom in a minivan and a school bus full of retards if they want to go a round. I even whooped my Grandma in her AMG...she thought she could teach me a thing or two

I also think that guy in the Lambo is either a snot-nosed pompous a-hole or just scared he'll get whooped in a six-figure car by something 1/10 the price. Probably both come to think about it.

True they have gobs of power but it's distributed to 4 wheels instead of two suffering a greater loss of power throught the drivetrain, not to mention they are really heavy.
