FD vs Florida sherrifs department... fd wins, x4!!!

1)
So, I was driving home one night late after a party with the GF and i slept/hung it off at her house. I had to go to work so I got up and went home at 3pm. I drove a 94 SSM R2 with a few mods but not a monster. One of the cleanest 94s out there. I pulled onto Capital circle for a few miles and about halfway to my turn (3 miles i noticed a car had been keeping the same far away but not too far away to be lost distance. for some reason I thought "OMFG i'm about to get car jacked!" I floored it to easily leave them.

2)
at this point they were about a block behind me and as i reach 100mph they are a long way back there. I quickly turn onto my next road and they SPED UP TO FOLLOW!!! im freaking out and have no idea who it is. I nail the throttle agian... OH SHIITE MUSLIMS THERES A F-ING TREE... I swerved to avoid the tree on road and keep going! thanks to japan for great handling at 75. The followers are about to lose it into a ditch as they come around the curve and see the same tree. I leave them in dust...

3)
The adrenaline passes after a few miles and no lights. I have slowed down to 55 and cruise toward home. the road is basically curve into looong straight into curve... rinse and repeat with sporadic low hills. On one of these straights i notice lights agian... "wait are those... **** yep! how in the...!" I realize at this moment that the car is odly familiar as i look out the untinted side mirror... DAMMIT! its crown vic headlights! I think for a minute, i just went over the hill and they are still a 1/2 mile behind me... well i will already be in hot water if he catches up... 4/4 gas and off we go... 100, 110, 135... over the hills and through the canopy to jail we go... oddly no lights follow or red and blue...

4)
By this time I'm at my neighborhood. I slow and turn in normally thinking all is good. the street is the shape of a "P" with an elongated D. As i start to go into the D lights come on followed immediately by flashing strobes and beeps to stop.

lets recap, 55 in a 45, 100 in a 35(with a tree involvement), 55-135 prolonged run in a 50, and its now 330pm... Im in a low tinted and loud sports car looking fresh from the club BUT NOT DRUNK! Im thinking jail?

The officer jumps out of the car and comes up to the window... I still have the oh no/WTF look going on so he stopps in mid sentence...

"what the hell were you... what were you doing driving that way? I stopped to turn on thew radar at one point but you lost me. I was doing over 100mph and you flat left me!!!?

"honestly sir, i thought you were someone trying to carjack me... I never saw red or blue lights the whole way here and figured you were trying to do something underhanded, I was pretty freaked out cause I read a story about this on a forum im a member of..."

The cop stops and looks at me for a second... I think he was trying to determine if I was legit or an idiot. He responds...

"well next time drive to a police station or something damn! I thought we were done when that tree came out of nowhere! what kind of car is this to drive like that!"

"a 1994 mazda rx7 twin turbo"

"1994!!! no way! it isnt older than a 2002 by the look of it!"

"yess, sir i have one of the best looking of this package in the country, there were only 80 or so like this and im pretty sure out of the 40 or so that are still around its the second best one ive ever seen!"

"well get home and please be more careful! id hate to see you lose it! *drive away*

after renewing the WTF look i drive a 1/4 mile home... @ 20 mph lol. adrenaline and 2 hours to sleep before meeting the next day FTL... leaving 8-9 tickets minimum behind FTUW.

What part of Tallahassee are you in? I'm surprised a Leon County Sherrif let you off like that.

Well I did the same kind of thing in my FD. I did a 3rd gear pull on a sherif. I left that guy like it was nothing, but he used his secret weapon after I was finished pulling the red and blue lights. The guy was following me super close for a mile or so. I had my rear view up for night driving. I thought someone was trying do somthing funny, the sherif did not take that excuse. O well.

miccosukee Rd. The sheriffs are pretty cool... its the rookie trying to make a statement TPD and the should have retired 10 years/100 pounds age FHP you have to worry about here!

^^^ correction its ALL FHP you have to worry about.

Only because this was a sherriff was the OP not beaten w/ a baton and hauled off to jail.

man that cop would have not even said **** in my city. He would have gun drawn and yanked the door open then shoved my face into the pavement pinning me down with his knee. Your lucky.
