I was in a car club cruise to the local drag strip 70 miles away. I was the second car in line and we were doing about 95 in a 65 (in my WRX, decently modded). Well there's a cop sitting on the hill behind some trees so we dont see him. Well once we see him, we all lock up the brakes and he's giving us chase (15-20 cars). Well a friend of mine decides it'll be a good idea to stay in the left lane and block the cop from catching up. I had already pulled over because I knew what was coming. The cop was trying to drive in the median because my buddy couldn't get over because he was being blocked. Well when he finally comes up, i'm sure my face was white, I thought he was going to impound a car that i'd had for 3 months. I pull out my license, registration and military ID. He came back and I knew I was getting a ticket (he clocked me at 97 in a 65) but he dropped the ticket down to 75 in a 65 and didn't even write me a ticket for no seatbelt...I didn't get away scott free but it beats going to jail and having my car impounded.

Cop 1- Me 0

kind of same deal happened to me,
Was on my way down to the street races with a friend, pulled up next to a gtp at a light, they rev'd at me....i was down... gave them the "do ya wanna race" wave. they said yeah.... got the green and was gone, about 10 lengths and about 95 on broadway, they burned out.... slow'd for a repeat and they pulled up behind me and turned on the red and blues. 3 narcs get out and wright me a reckless ticket, which i got droped to a faulty equipment. But was seriously gayyyyyyyy...

Damn that's messed up. I'm not sure I coulda held my composure had that been me, I would feel like that's a huge slap in the face not just to me but the whole military.

So they set you up? That's such BS man, haha. Did you go to court and bring up the fact that they rev'd at you?

no i never went to court my lawyer did, dont like the judges recognizing me, I was lucky they didnt give me a street racing ticket it would have been a automatic loss of license and a crazy premium increase. got it down to faulty equip and took a driver edu class, some hardcore gayness but never showed up on my driving record.

I would love to have one of these handy just to see the reaction it gets. But I'd have to have different kinds, you never know when you come across a cop that likes sprinkles...

this thread is awesome...I've been pretty lucky in my SA(stock) but my buddies FC is a diff story lol...We have a wilderness park just outside of town...its got some nice twisties and some gravel roads and has really dense trees..he knows it like the back of his hand so he always goes out there and lets his rearend hang out for a while...one time we had a tripod set up on the back deck videotaping one of his runs...as we drifted off the apex of one of the turns and saw the familier lights and color scheme of the local pd heading right at us...All i could think was "****"...but my buddy just punches it and takes off..he heads towards the next turn and flips a bitch..next thing i know we're screaming right back at the cop..who had also turned around..We flew outta there and didn't slow down till we hit the interstate..we had lost the cop in the trees somewhere...it was scary ****...we stopped and watched the tape...you could see the cop following us for a couple turns but then being lost in the dust...So we got out of it without a ticket but a couple of weeks later his parents found the tape...needless to say he was F'ed..he lost his car for a month...but he has a damn good story to tell

But when the same thing happened to me I got a ticket. You pretty much come off as a douche; though, what with claiming to have the cleanest package and nicest 94 and so on. Especially without pics.
