FC vs impreza part II - with turbos!

ok here is part one:
https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hlight=impreza

since then we have both turbo'd our cars.

Me: subaru impreza wagon with EJ20G swap, 3" straight exhaust, otherwise completely stock, ~7psi boost

Bro: S5 GTU with a streetported 6-port n/a, S4 n/a rotors, T04b h-trim/o-trim turbo, 2.5" straight exhaust, 720cc secondaries, TII AFM, 6psi boost

we did several 2nd and 3rd gear pulls and i was creeping ahead by less than a car length by the top of 3rd

not sure what your asking but in your last post it was stated by another that the rx7 should beat that.
with my experience that rx7 for one has too small exhaust but otherwise that thing should be spanking the subi. just my two sense

2.5" would in no way restrict that setup.

You forgot to mention that the rx7 owner was "peddling it".
He had too, be cause he has a 10 lbs spring in the wastegate, and when it boosts over 6 lbs it runs lean.

As far as restrictive exhaust goes, I don't like the way the manifold is designed, one of the ports has to make a 90 degree turn through a narrow passage.

Heres a pic that has the manifold I'm talking about. Right in the middle of the cabinet.

But the rest of the exhaust is 2.5" with RB mufflers and presilencer.

It's running 6psi on a fairly small turbo. 2.5" is fine for that amount of flow.
