FC vs Evo

My friends and i went to go mess around with his car in a parking lot off of Bandera and brought the only tires we had which which had flat spots, dry rotted and bald. So on the way home we hit the intersection just before the highway and pull up behind an evo he starts sounding of on his blow off valve trying to get us to race, so my friend decided to take on the challange. We went under the over under the over pass and he puches it around the corner thinking he is going to loose us. Unfortunately, for him my friend has alot of hours in that car and clipped the corner only to gain on him. So were on the highway and we slow down to about sixty and my friend rev matches to third and we both punch it and he Keeps up until we hit about six grand and continued until about seven and a half and fourth gear walked this guy by about two car lengths. We went again and he kept up until fourth gear we walked him again and he gave up told him he had a nice car he said the same and we headed home.

Car Spec- gutted without cutting, even sound deadening
240 whp and 210 tq
throttle body mod, ten pounds of boost, unported, SAFC 1, 2 1/2inch side exit.

Evo 8's put down about 240-250 AWHP stock..Sounds about right with a stock evo, but I have no idea how fast the RX7 is in the 1/4..I have an EVO as well as my RX7, they are two totally different machines all together..If it had exhaust and stuff ad you still beat it though, that was probably due to the EVO drivers inability to drive..They react very well to mods, and 90% of evo owners are kids that have parents with money, and just had to have it, even though they have no idea what they are even driving..

Rx7vs Evo

I stock TII would not be able to take an evo as sad as it is for me to me to say this, because the are very fast and incredible cars. However, the TII was gutted to the extreme to were I would have to cut into the chasis if I wanted to pull anything more out of it. My friend and I have fitted it for road racing and building it up and he drives this thing until he can find a proper daily. So my point is that he was faster because the car weighs 2400 pounds without the driver with 240hp and 210tq so there is no way that a stock and I am saying stock evo can catch him because he has a better power to weight and that's why this car is so fast.
But to be fair the evo wasn't gutted.

We did something very different. A little out there. However, if you don't tune your car than you might lean out. Mazda chocked that thing out to pass emissions. We put a hard pipe on the intake and modded the exaust and we hit 8-10pounds no problem with a fuel cut defender. So be careful and get someone to tune your car for the boost.
