Car vs Bike vs Boat

That bike got destroyed. F1....18,000 RPM...900 Hp......superior contact patch/low center of gravity = 9 sec 1/4 mile. That boat wasn't even in the race - it needed a triple rotor with a big turbo to hang

that vid clearly demonstrates the concept that aerodynamics and horspeower dominate the equation as you approach triple digits....in an 80 mph roll-on, it would be a complete joke
the "power to weight" parrots need to study that video

a bone stock ZX-14, with a relatively long wheelbase, would have been right there

are we talking 1/4 mile? there are some pretty quick drag bikes out there
power to weight certainly is a significant factor in a drag race, and the bikes have a monster slick on the back

Now it would have been much closer if they would have evend the playing field more. Put a Moto GP bike in there and it's a whole different story, and from the looks of it that was a 600RR not a 1000RR but it's hard to tell without looking closer. Eitherway that F1 car is bad as hell.

An NHRA Funny car or rail will suck the paint off ANY bike you can bring, PERIOD.

Secondly, take it to the race curcuit. Put an F1 car against an F1 bike and guess what? The bike gets it's azz crushed again. It's basic physics.

that's all true, but for 10 grand I can pick up a new machine that will run 9s, top out and about 180+, go around corners like stink, and smoke a new ZO6, or at least equal it on a roadcourse
not a bad deal....and there is nothing like the feeling of cornering on a bike....a car will never give you the same rush (in my opinion)
once in awhile, you have to get out of the steel cage, drop your knee on the deck, and experience the world of two wheels and "defy" a few laws of physics....GOOD STUFF
