Can my Rx7 woop on a 350z turbo
Look I dont know if this is even the section were i would post a thread like this. I have a rx7 that I am building myself as a first timer. I have a s4 with a s5 turbo engine. But currently it is out of my rx7, i am having it rebuilt.I bought a microtech unit, 1200cc primaries and 1600 secondaries on a custom intake plenum.I bought it off this guy in australia that has a website tweakit.net.Anyways on to my set-up, i have a HKS T51R turbo, with hks gt wastegate and manifold. I am going with a half-bridge port and want to run on this turbo 18psi. I am thinking of purchasing a doug nash tranny. I mean i want to drive it on the street, but mostly I am out for blood on this 350z that terrorises this town and I want blood i tell you .So what do you guys think and please comment and give feedback.thank You

sounds like you've got some nice goodies!
it'll depend on how both cars are tuned of course...
with those mods, it'll seem like you and that turbo Z will make similar HP...
it will ultimately depend on TIRE CHOICE and DRIVER SKILL...
good luck with it and hold your head up high with one of the coolest engines still around!!

See my car wont be gutted in any sort of way, maybe the lighest options would be aftermarket racing seats. So my car will still weight, but who knows how much. And the Doug Nash Tranny im using is a 4+1 tranny. What do you guys think. stop the progress on the other motor and go with a FD3S 13B-REW motor in my FC chassis and buy everything that I have just mentioned for the FD motor. I mean obviously the stuff I already have wont fit the 13B-REW motor, or am I wrong?

I would stick with the setup you have...only I would probably go with a full bridge, just due to the fact of that turbo is amazing. I mean that HKS T51r, is a great turbo and is very large. But it should be a good race.

it all depends what its tuned for i beat a 350z turbo out here and i only got about 305hp, but theres a twin trubo 350z out here that demolished me and then later i found out it was twin and was running about 450hp. but like everyone else is saying its mostly driver related when it comes to a close race. if you know your **** and he doesn't then your golden you know.

Well if its a monster of a 350z like you describe more than likely its a greddy TT with supporting mods pushing over 550whp/500tq to the wheels easy....Stock block greddy TT and APS TT usually put down about 440whp at 10-11psi on a dyno dynamic. Also note power band on these are nice you basically have full spool up at around 2500rpm and keep pulling upwards to 7000rpm
