Any of you guys ever raced and s2k?
sure, they can pull on a N/A FC!
assuming we're talking about near stock s2k, a fd should own them from a roll and even more from a stop. but you have to take in account that the majority of these cars are modded to some extent. a s2k on the track is another story however..

yes ive raced about a 6 of them and they are all pretty slow. im only around 300-315WHP and thats not much. all the ones ive raced are close to that or a little more. "the 7 cant lose!"
My friend had one. I wasn't impressed. Actually he got beat by another friend who had a stock 185 HP audi TT (not the 225 quatro).
I've never raced one. They always leave me alone unlike the srt-4's and mustangs. Those guys seem like they're always hungry for some.

my dad used to own one, and I drove it plenty. It is pretty good for a honda and has pretty good top end for a 2.0 dohc vtec, but it wont hang with the 7. although, it does have superb handling.
The S2 in stock form they are pretty slow....they do respond well to mods. It really likes the bottle....but with boost its another story. I know a couple that are close to the 500hp mark on pump gas and stock internals.
The S2000 is a really nice car. Nice looking, decent power, and great handling. However, it's no supercar. I raced one, and beat him fairly easily. If I were in the market for a convertible, an S2000 would definitely be a good car to consider.
A properly running stock FD will beat a stock S2K every time. I have an FD and my daily driver is an S2K
I've raced two 350Zs up to about 130-135 mph, and the Z had a slight edge I think, but just baareeeeellyy.... This was with my top down (more drag).
I raced my buddy's mildly modded Evo, and he had no trouble putting a few cars on my S2K on highway roll ons.
One problem with S2000s is that unless you keep it from 7000-9000 RPM, they pretty much are as slow as an Accord. You really need to drive the car HARD to make it go fast. It handles sweetly though, and I love the fact that I can drop the top on nice days. Another bonus is that I don't care if it gets stolen, scratched, etc.. it's my beater

nah, they can't pull on the sti's just too much power for a stock s2k. when my rx7 was close to stock (just had downpipe), when I used to take on my buddy's s2k, it was pretty dead even from a dig to 80 (me with a bad launch and spinning my tires in place for a second), but after 80 I started walking him bad. The stock s2k could take on the early gen evo's and wrxs, but not the STIs. If the s2k was running a supercharger through, it would be a very different story. The comptech superchager makes the car into a 310-320whp/240tq daily driver, with gears it's pretty crazy.

Even mild turbo kits don't reach that torque figure.
i raced one from a light, i let him get infront of me and i took of like i was going for a sunday cruise...and he was strait guning it off the light. So then after i slowly take off i just step on it and by this time he is starting to redline 2 and iam not even redlining first...well lets just say by the time i got into 3rd gear i flew by him like he was standing still. and my car maybe making 280 to 300 rwhp and i mean maybe if iam lucky.
