You're making as much power as a Supercharged S2000, but with more torque so yea a stock S2000 isn't really up to being a challenge for you.

it depends on were you race them. my 7 can barely keep up with my buddies S2k in the corners. all he has is tein felx comptech catback and a few other parts. but in a straight line its i would murder his car.

beat a boosted S2K in my TII

put about 5 cars on him. He was only boosting 5 pounds to my 12

A couple weeks later he turned his boost up to 15 and.......... POP...........

Probably my favorite Honda though

when it comes down to it, it's all about the driver for "twisties."

What's your point??

The S2k is pimp. It's looks amazing, has enough power, handles excellent, has a drop top, best transmission in any production car, built to last, chicks dig it, and all at a reasonable price tag. Some of you have no clue.......

Define slow? Any car, once modded, can be very fast. It just seems like everyone these days are only concerned about going fast in a straight line. If that, a stock S2000 is on par with a stock FD, and both will run circles around a stock FB or FC with a experienced driver. Take the car for what it is and stop hating..........

a slow car is a slow car, most s2k's stay na and hence... slow, an fd and s2k are not on par, an fd is a supperior car in every aspect aside from reliability and gas mielage.

it takes modding an s2k to be on par with a stock fd, im not hating on the car, they are great for what they are, but they dont have the power that everyone makes them out to have.

I don't think people make the S2000 to have a lot of power. They are a weak car for the highway. you don't have to be fast in a straight line to be considered fast. S2000 are formidable cars once you hit the canyons, track, autox, etc. While the FD may be on par with the S2000's handling, none of the other 7's can say they're as fast as a S2K once you race on a road where you have to turn your steering wheel more than a little.

Fast doesn't mean fast in a straight line, but apparently that's what everyone's concerned with so, what do I know?

there have been alot of s2000's being either boosted or supercharged. so dont believe the hype. But its the fact that 80% of them are custom made

stock for stock a fd will own a s2000

a r1 weights 2750 & a s2000 weights 2830

LOL, no they do not mod well. Gains of ~9HP are seen from a full I/H/E setup out of the 2.0L setup. The 2.2L doesn't mod any much better, either. IMO, that's a pretty weak gain.

A stock 2.0L (F20C) puts down ~201RWHP.
The mentioned "modded" F20C still only put down ~210RWHP.
Even if you get the "top shelf" Mugen parts, the numbers are the same.
That's less than a ~5% gain.

Why is this? The motor is already pretty strung out from the factory.

I mean, these motors will respond decently to FI, but what NA motor doesn't?

you must be a straitline guy....casue an fd really starts to shine in the corners. Now maybe if your making like 450rwhp+ its going to be hard to controle in corners...

I've raced many modded s2k's, even turbocharged ones...and honestly they can be quick....though I havent lost to one. I've raced them in turns and on straights. Though all my runs were done with my 350whp Fd...Now that I have a new setup, the corners might be a little more challenging....so I am going to stay away from them...lol

I'm curious as to how that one guys neighbor got 266rwhp with just bolt ons on his s2k. Find that hard to believe. You would need some crazy n/a setup for 266rwhp. Unless he's boosted
