87 t2 vs. turbo GSR

Well he got me. . haha My mods are: 3 inch racing beat turbo back, stock TID>cone filter, rtek 1.5, racing beat 8mm wires, ported wastegate running 10-12ish psi, walbro 255 fuel pump. I'm sure i've forgoten some little things. The teg was just finished being built, like fully built. . sleeved block and all. Only pushing 240 to the wheels right now though until the spring when it'll get it's final tune when he hope to be pushing like 370 to the wheels. Anyhow, we lined up on the high way 4 times, 3 of them were 30mph rolls, and one was from 50. Well needless to say he got me all 4 times. Not too bad though, I wouldn't call it a raping but he definetly has a bit more power than I do. I would do alright if it wasn't for the long 3rd gear of the teg! They pull like crazy in 3rd for some reason. I got to go for a ride in the teg after, very nice car. Once summer hits I plan on upgrading my turbo, hopefully i'll get him then. . haha we'll see. Oh I would have loved to have gone from a dig but my 2nd gear syncro is about gone it feels, if I try to shift into 2nd while hammering she reallllly doesn't liek it that's why we went from a roll. From a dig it would have been completly different.

he's only pushing 10psi right now .. final tune will up his rev limiter to 8500, and up the boost. I'm sure he'll get alot more power out of it, his engine only has like 300 miles on it right now. It was broken in on the dyno

Make a custom 3" straight-flow TID. Fix 2nd gear. Commence with the raping.

you might wanna do the same...get something you can tune so your "soon to come" upgraded turbo can acutally boost up more than 10-12psi and then go rape him.
Although he might be putting down a little more power now he definately got you on weight...those things are pretty light! Specially when gutted.
Better luck next time!

haha Yea i have much respect for the car. they weigh in at like 2600. I do plan on tuning just havn't got a safc and bigger injectors yet. And I do have a 3 inch TID but I took it off because I would see boost levels of like 14 or 15psi with it on and I don't like that without a tune on her. plus i'm still on the stock top mount. I should be able to get him after i'm tuned, well until he gets retuned again. . lol Oh well it's all fun and games, he's a good friend so i'm not too worried about it.
