Just wanted to post some of my kills at the track on an open run day at Pomona.

1st run: White STI vs my FD - Owned the STI by 3 car lengths and a bad start and 2nd-3rd mis-shift. Ran a 13.43

2nd run: 90 White Civic HB vs my FD - Barely won by a little over a car length. The fact that I just figured out the track radio channel might have hurt my time. Ran a 13.77

3rd run: Black Evo (new w/o license plate) - OWNED OWNED OWNED OWNED OWNED the EVO. I mis-shifted again plus spun the tires too much (on accident) on the start but caught him by the end of my 3rd gear. It seems he screwed up on the shifting also cuz I heard him hitting the rev limit TWICE . Ran a 13.80

4th run: 2000+ Stang' vs my FD - Near perfect start and Let's just say I saw him in my rear view far far away . Ran my best at 13.33

BTW my motor was just rebuilt and broken in, but I was still a little gun shy due to the fact I just spent over 9.5k on parts.

 

how much boost are you running???

Looks like all you need now is a Intercooler, and up the boost..

Goodkills. What kind of trap speeds ??

 

I would like to know also, Good runs, mostly against the stang.

 

I don't mean to sound like an ***, but your times make me feel very good My car is a freshly built engine using mazda OEM parts, 75k old stock twins, standard ports, ECU, main cat still in place with a racing beat cat back and i ran 13.42

 

why did you barely beat the hatch?

 

man i hope you had some nice trap speeds cuz those times aren't great. i ran 13.7-13.8 stock ok and there was a 14.2 mixed in there

 

Sorry for the delayed responses, but I've been looking for the receipt (time slip) for the traps speeds. I wish I could remember but I dont wanna give inaccurate info, although I remember thinking my trap speed were surprisingly good. I will update this when I find it, and I plan on going back soon anyways =)

AND THAT CIVIC...was extremely fast, and didnt have a turbo kit. It might have sprayed, but I would've heard the spray. It couldve been all motor, cuz I've seen many running in the 13's all motor, but who knows.

Also, no offense taken Bob, but it was hot that day and it's just really scary to push the car when you just dropped so much money into it just a few weeks prior. I was only there to see how my car was running seeing as though I'm too old for spirited driving on the streets. Plus, the readouts were invaluable to my new tuning settings =) I hope the next time I go back, my car hits the 12's. Wish me luck

BTW, there's a rotary shop that filmed these passes, and we met in the parking lot, so if ur reading this, and you remember the ONLY WHITE FD and the bald headed asian guy driving it, please post. Thank you.
