Well, we have cars that actually accelerate at a fast rate from 70mph to 140+ mph, so yes, that could be considered a roll race. Now, for people that have heavy awd pigs that are only fast off the line and have problems with brick-like aerodynamics above 100 mph, maybe they don't care about it .

Actually a turbo V8 should be compared to a turbo 4 rotor. A single turbo FD is more like a single turbo I4.

And FWIW STI's can . I almost bought one and so happy I didn't. On my first FD there was a Black Sti 2004 and a 93 FD. The FD had only an exhaust and it was much much faster than the STi. I remember driving the Sti 1-2-3rd gear I was smiling and then after I was like where did the fun go

You are wrong... i had a 2001 T/A with bolt ons (headers/no cats) and i ran 12.88@110 and have timeslip to prove... This was also on FACTORY tires(aka: plastic) launching from idle.... with radials possible bottom end 12's.

Also there are cam only ls1's with stock untouched heads making 450 RWHP.

Here you go... Cam only ls1 running 10's for the non-beleivers.

He may have used nitrous though because that top end is a little sketchy!
