Man, I dunno about the circle track wheels, I tagged a guy with those wheels in the passenger rear quarterpanel, the wheel folded up into a pretzel.. It was literally had formed square edges. It was a hard hit, but my Kosei came through with just some aluminum lathed off the surface of the wheel and ran the whole race that way.

Well, if you want lighter, the SSR competitions are 9 lbs, but I'm not spending the cash for those.. The Pro Race I wheels are pretty close to the Kosei weight wise.

In the Spec Miata size (15x7), the TD and K1 are both 13.2#. Class specs are 13# minimum weight.

If you want light/strong, you/ve got to go with the forged wheels ($$$).

I've read that the SSR Comp's will eventually have problems with cracking. It's the risk you take with featherweight wheels. On the flip side of that, John Purner's CCW wheels are maybe a pound or two heavier than the SSR Comp's .... and they've been well proven to withstand track abuse. Take a look at how many racers in T1 give John their money.

MKIV supra stockers 17X8.5 fronts and 17X9.5 rears with Hoosier A3SO3's. I had the centers machined out to fit the 67mm center bore on my FD..... Couldn't pass em up at $500 for all 4 wheels. Painted Black on my Red FD.

That would be 8" fronts, not 8.5". However a 255-40-17 V700 works perfect on the 8" contrary to much expert testimony. I am running MKIV Supra rears all the way around(on my MKIV) w/ 275-40-17s

BTW my 16x12 rims will be here Tuesday, the more I look at my car, the more I think I am going to widen the Tripoint Widebody kit to allow 24.5x13x16(15" wide overall) slicks all the way around. I need about another inch on each side, front, and rear.
