Glowshift is crap as you all probably know. Ive found a 10-15psi difference in oil pressure when comparing to a mechanical gauge. Is Autometer any better or are they all Chinese junk? Any brands that can come within say +/-2.5psi?

Im willing to spend some money on some good gauges. I only need oil pressure and water temp.

Defi and VDO know to be super accurate? I'll check them out.

Both have good reputations. My Defi temp gauge is accurate based on some rudimentary testing. Never ran VDO, but the Euro guys like them.

Why not a digital dash that reads network data from the engine computer?

+1 You don't necessarily need a digital dash, but connecting to the existing sensors via the ECU will allow data logging

If you're looking for a stand alone, Stack stepper gauges are pretty accurate

52mm Auxiliary Gauges: Pro-Control

PLX is another option that allows logging and phone display (not sure the accuracy tho)

I already have a digital dash. Using Torque Pro on a tablet and a ELM327 interface. Im looking for a failsafe to that, just oil pressure and water temp.

The more spendy Autometers are good and accurate. I think the Longacre / Accutech are also supposed to be good.

What about AEM? They seem pricey but that doesnt necessarily make them good. Asking because i already have a AEM wideband and id like to keep the gauges matching. I have a 3 gauge idiot light pod.

Those Stack Pro Control series gauges are sick. Leaning towards them.

Does anyone know it the Defi Racer style gauges have an alarm setting for if the pressure drops? Difference between the Race and the Racer N2?

If anyone cares, i ended up going with AEM X Series. It was a toss up between AEM and Defi. The main reason is the AEM gauge offers min and max alarms for oil pressure in a standalone unit where Defi does not.
