One of the rotary workshops over here did run a hks in a 12hr race over here 8 or 9 years ago, it was the sequential version, possibly still vision of it up on youtube, driver was young ex F3 guy named Padyachee or similar if you want to look??

My memory, it wasn't as robust or trouble free as they were hoping, considering the price!

Thanks for input, compare to other dog box, this hks gear is not straight cut to have little quiter design, but might create more heat, thus might have issue. On extremely tought endurance race
Althought I say endurance, but is only a hour long, so this should last

Is this old stock or are they producing them still? Remember they weren't stocking parts for the sequentials some time ago, so you were basically on your own, but remember seeing lots of bits being sold on yahoo some years ago.

The HGT box looks appealing compared to some of the transmissions.....although the price just jumped the beginning of the year.

dude seriously, tell us how you guys are sourcing these JDM parts, lol. You guys seem to be able to find all the rare parts that we don't even know about.

Is old stock, I tkhink is not difficult to find people who can rebuild it in japan, yes HGT TTi all seen to have better option, with better customer service also

I know somone running the same HKS 6 speed H pattern in his SA22 doing 3 hour enduros with no problems. if your running for more than 30 mins make sure you put a pump and cooler on it or youll shorten its life. Marco pumps work well. Supposedly HKS copied the internals from Holinger and i heard the parts might be interchangable. If you go to a sequential most people in this part of the world seem to agree that if you can afford it holinger RD6 is the best hand down, otherwise if on a budget TTi is next best.

Some misc detail of HKS gearbox
Japanese race part alawys havevstreet useg in my mind , so this is dog gear helical cut, very unique or odd for race box
But manily to reduce noise on street car
And as u can see the gear is wider and have no oil passage then stock so should be much stronger then stock
But this might have oil flow problem at cold start

I list a gear ratio on the blue box, as u guys can see the gearbox have 6 speed as over street

And I think I need some more time to get used to gearing because this is much different then stock Mazda
