Looking for the best Breaking System money can buy at a fraction of the cost?
In response to an earlier post about aluminum rotors in OEM applications -- they were used in the rear on Plymouth Prowlers, and I believe (not sure about this one) that they were used on a Lotus vehicle. According to a very knowledgeable friend, aluminum rotors have some very nice characteristics, but unfortunately suffer from relatively low thermal capacity compared to cast iron, and would thus require an extremely (prohibitively?) large rotor to offer adequate fade resistance if used on the front in a heavy street car.
