Looks like it was a great day, and not too crowded. The Volks are looking good too

ferrari club

You didnt miss out....Foko and I both agreed that this is one group with poor discipline...

We had many cases of point bys IN THE CORNERS...
also cases of "Point and Floor it"....

My FD is no match for 355, 360 and 996TT....as evident in my videos....

i agree.....not the best event i've been too. lots of really weird rules and a lot of unpredictable drivers, even in the "expert" group. the problem though, was that the organizers paid more attention to relatively unimportant things, but didn't really seem to care who did what on the track. for example, i wasn't able to take a passenger for a ride in the fast group....they made me "bump" down to a slower group to give rides. at the same time, there were all kinds of squirrelly moves going on out on the track without any kind of action. oh well....no more FCA for me.

i thought the food was mediocre at best.

OTH, the best part of the event was the sound....trying to stay with a 355 challenge car is an aural delight.

fong, don't underestimate yourself, i bet your lap times were better than a lot of those guys

horsepower is only part of the equation out there.

Yes I know, but having them pull away is such a dissappointment....

I still need to work on my turns too...you have to give me a ride next time...

another weird thing..my fastest lap was posted chasing a 996TT...hee...guess the adreneline takes over...

You guys are much speedier than me

Hey fabian, I keep forgetting to ask-- when I was drooling over your engine bay, it looked like you had dual ASTs plumbed-- or maybe an AST and a separate metal expansion tank-- how did you set up your cooling system?

I missed the down shift after 5 and couldnt catch him going up ....

I know my coner speed in and out was faster...he had road tires I guess....+ it is a 150k car.....

The blue one had a much cleaner line...the silver one was kinda of all over the place...I had the same prob with the blue 996TT trying to pass him....they will take off on the straights and leave me...and I would catch them aagain next corner....well, can justify spending the $$$ on the single now....

Great videos! That vette was hauling!!

Two questions:
1) What kind of video camera are you using?
2) I was thinking of taking the right turn signal off and running some sort fo ducting to the intake. I see you have done that and I was wondering how you liked it.

Thanks,
Bryan

I run a i/o racing camera mount mounted on my M2 roll bar.

The turn signal removed helped reduce intake temps for abit but I still ran up tp very high water temps at the end of the day.

Singel turbo this week....hope it helps...

BTW my fastest lap was 1.59.56 but that is b/c I am n/a.
Good day of racing for me. I learned a lot and got good track time, but they (the chif steward especially) were kinda dix. Fabian, thanks for the ride that was the first 3rd gen I'd ever ridden in and wow am i imrpessed.

Don't get me excited!

Me and some of my SCCA brethren have been contracted to be instructors at the Ferrari Club event at Sebring later this week. I'm going to have to burn a vacation day, but what the heck!

yeah that was my first time there. it was my second event ever too. I have always wanted to race Laguna so I can check that off the things to do before death list now. I did Sears last month with NASA and that was a far better event than Saturdays. After getting some seat time with that female instructor, Michelle, I finally got faster and by the end of the day I was under 2 mins.
I need to get some race only tires for sure and hopefully when I go back to LSIR I will be significantly faster.
j-

great videos and nice line
I would send pics but all the ones my wife took show me off line (dolt!).
