Jumper/switch for running/rain lights (FC)
I need to add a jumper/switch to be able to turn on the rear lights when it is raining.
The car has absolutely no dash in it. The harness is still there and I'm like 98% certain it is intact for the interior of the car.
I have the two harness plugs on the left side pulled out and available to me. I'm under the assumption that I can simply put a jumper (single wire) from one node to another (likely a ground?) to complete the circuit and turn these lights on. My question is... which one is it?
I found a wiring diagram for the FC dash input, but it was for the larger connection that the two plugs Y off of. I was also having trouble understanding the description of the wires (believe its by color)... as you can imagine, the color is damn near impossible to see anymore. Oranges and reds, blues and greys... they all look the same anymore.
Anyone have thoughts on this? Or maybe I'd be better off doing something at the taillight? I would prefer to operate with a switch.
Thanks!

I'm guessing this is a track-only car.
Have you looked at the wiring diagram to identify the light circuit you need? Do you still have the key cylinder and stalk to turn the lights on?

This is a track only car. There's no stalk/key (push start)/etc.
The dash surround with the light switches (turn signals, brights, etc) are non existant. I do have street rx7s that i could take the light switches from to verify these lights still work. I'd still need to identify and wire in a jumper/switch.
I suppose i could just run switched 12v all the way back, but i prefer to just use whats already there.
Looks like you can apply 12VDC to connecter FR-02 on the G(R) wire. Found this on page 50-58. FR-02 is the rear harness. Your going to have to run wires to this harness because it connects the front harness using connector F-19. F-19 goes to the the STOP LIGHT WARNING relay that is in the CPU. Not sure if you still have the CPU.
