Guru Box input needed!

Guru Box input needed!
I need to make a decision on what trans I will be running the trans in my (hopefully) 9 second twinturbo FD. All along I was going to run a jerico 4 speed. I have the adapter kit already and a few clutches, etc. The kit I have is fairly complete sans a trans mount. (tubular PPF, steel driveshaft etc)
I can get a jerico for 2500 bucks rebuilt to factory spec with any gearset I would like. This trans is basically bulletproof and could take anything I could throw at it.
You do have to cut a hole in your trans tunnel for the shifter to fit. I will do that if needed.
now, the kit is going to be about 800-900 bucks all said and done. Throw the 2500 bucks for the trans into that i'm still doing fairly well. It's just going to be a hasle. I have to locate a FC bellhousing (push clutch only) blah blah
Now, I was searching for other options to make sure the jerico is the best trans setup for me.
I initally looked past the guru because it uses stock input shaft, which is a definate weakness, especally in a drag car. The guru would be the easiest solution (stock fd case) but i'm worried it will not take the power. Driveability is not much of a concern, im sure its similar to a jerico.
I want some input from people that own or have driven the box! What do yall think?

I have a 4speed Jerico in my FC. Words can't describe this tranny, I couldn't have imagined how crisp and smooth the shifts are before driving it.
On the downside, you might have to clearance the side of the tranny tunnel for the shift linkage. I had to move mine about 1.5", that's in anfc though the fd might have more room.

where are you guys getting the Jerico boxes at?
and do they take different clutch covers/disks etc?
Sorry for the hijack, I'm trying to find out some of the similar info on Guru vs. Others as well.

Just another thought I had after you mentioned it being a primarily drag car, not sure if it applies to rotarys though. Turbo piston engines love to work against gearing, the more you try to hold it back with gear, the more boost/power it makes. It might be benificial to gear it in a manner where you would only use 3 gears through the quarter and have the forth to lower your cruise rpm.

Here is my train of thought.
I will go guru. If i put the jerico in, i will have to cut the trans tunnel a little bit to fit the shifter. This is (pratically) Irreversible. If the guru doesent hold up I can always just take it out, and do the jerico...

Isnt the guru around 8500$?, thats more that any other dog transmission out there, except maybe the PBS. I had looked at one some time ago, but decided not too, primarily due to cost. Also the turbo trans. has got to be the the biggest pain to teardown.(Compared to just about any other race transmission out there)
