Well I definatly dont recommend anyone whos new to drift to go practice on a mountain. Thats just friggin nuts.

Can anyone here drift a second gen without the rear toe eliminators? I've been tryin. Its hard. I've just been practicing using the side brake for the moment then as the rear comes around dumping the clutch at high revs. Damn thing just wont stay kicked out.

I was in Japan Last month for a good 3weeks and got to see some drifting.. I also got to find out the pros and the cons about drifting in Tokyo's streets versus in the Mountains(Akagi-San). Well in the city, you got the cops, although they don't do much but just blow there horn until everyone leaves. THEN the put barriers up so you can't drift no more! As for the Mountains, no cops to worry about although they have been adding Anti-drift compound to the road surfaces, alittle raised meadian in the road, and form of a speedbump. Then you got those curbs that come out of nowhere and bite the lower A-arm and the the crap out of it! Save drifting for a parkinglot or a roadcousre, do not try to be a Takumi.. Although funny story the guy that bent his lower A-arm had a panda bear 86, and he was doing very well then my friend went for a ride he oversteered.........

As you can tell I was pretty damn wasted when I typed that out, sorry for being so explicit about the details...

Anyways, I just talked to my dad and it looks like we'll be in Honolulu at the end of our trip (August 8th) instead of the beginning (July 28th). It actually works out a lot better that way though as the 8th happens to fall on Friday instead of Monday See if you can have them hold off the drift meet until then! heheh I CAN'T WAIT!!!

Cheers! Jason

Yup Kuku/Mark is drifting at these events. I'll dig up some video of him. He was the first legal sanctioned drifter in Minnesota. I spoke to him at a party and he talked about getting drifting started here. So I did.

Here's Mark in action. He's the second Hachi Roku with the 86 on the door.
