I am think about signing up for another track event...which track would you recommend out of the two? If you have only been on one of these how did you like it?

Neither are all that compared to Lime Rock, but I'd say Pocono over NH. I used to run with the guys at PDA in NJ and most of the people there preferred Pocono over NH. Seemed like it had more turns and more fun potential.
If you really want to have fun take a weekend and go to Watkins Glen. Best track I've been on since the old Bridgehampton days! I went with Car Guys for that one.
If you need contact info for those clubs, PM me and I'll look for it.

Lime Rock is really the **** here in CT. But if I had to choose between NHIS and Pocono I'd go with Pocono. Not a really exciting track but if you run the long coarse then you will hit some big numbers on the speedo. My car was at 153 downthe back straight Contact SCDA they are doing an event at LRP this Fri and ~Sat. Talk to Ian he might have some spaces left.

Pocono is sorta bad because its not meant to be a road course. They make all their money off of Nascar and they sorta just threw in that inside section. The infield sections is narrow with basically no elevation changes at all. It's good if all your looking to do is top out on the nascar oval, but if you're looking for a good road course, Pocono is not the best. As mentioned, The Glen is a GREAT track, especially if you run it with "the boot" included. Never been to Lime Rock, but heard it's very nice also.

i am running limerock this weekend...its my first event...i cant wait. I do want to hit another event though this year in the fall when the weather cools down. Are any of you guys running another event in early fall around the Northeast?
I asked about the other tracks cause i thought it would be nice to experience another coarse. If lime rock is that much better then the two i listed then maybe i should just stick with limerock.
I will try the Glenn too i guess...seems you guys love it. Thats definately a weekend deal for me though...maybe i will take the wife up and make it a vaca too. Can anyone recommend a good club that runs ether lime rock or the glenn. I know of SCDA , PDA, and COMSCC.
Thanks.

NYSRRC stands for New York State Road Racing Championship. It's basically a branch of SCCA. The tracks they run are Lime Rock, Watkins Glen, Mosport, and Pocono. Same thing as MARRS (Mid Atlantic Road Racing Series).

Airflow is my life
I heard it was some armco they still have somewhere on the track in a turn. I also heard alot of club racers have used it as a "cornering aid" so I dunno what caused his demise.

Update, preliminary word is he may have had a heart attack, he was in his 60's and was an experienced racer and witness accounts said he just missed the turn completely.
