it all depends on the price!!!

I doubt they would be...but could they be used on the street? (rubbing/clearance issues in tight turns)

there should be no rubbing/clearence issue as they turn with the wheel (although i have no idea about the hosing rubbing, i guess it will depend on how you run it). the price will be 150 dollars for a set of 2 (I think this is a good price considering regular steel plates cost $220+ alone!). I can buy hosing but the price will just be tacked on to the exhisting price as well as the shipping price. They will be very similar to my FD set if you saw pics of those.

if anyone is intrested in a set, let me know. ill be making 2 sets in anycase for my FC as well as Kell's FC

P.S. Stock FC brakes are good enuf so that you can easily lock them up so you dont really need to buy a big brake kit to make brake fade dissappear, you just need to keep them cool enuf if you want faster braking, get better tires because no matter how big of rotors or pads you get, it wont stop any faster then what your tires will allow for.

So these will be the ducts at the wheel to attach a hose to, not just replacements of the stock brake duct in the bumper?

Silkworm,

150$ isn't that expensive considering the time and materials spent.

It's also a 150$ that can pay for itself over time.

It's a 150$ I don't need to speed, for 2 reasons. One, my brakes don't fade on track, and I punish them.. Cooling might help pad life, but that leads to #2, when I do ducts, I'll just duct air to the rotor and fab up something to get it there, slick CF is nice to have, and it looks to be a well made piece, but when I'm staring a 700$ tranny rebuild, 900$ cooling system, and a 1200 rear end in the face, I'll fab my own.

Thanks though

its cool if Silkworm is not intrested in a pair, its totally up to him if he wants one or not and right now he is not intrested. actually he does not need them so it would not really serve his purposes

no hard feelings

you can't just make a venturi tunnel and expect it to work to optimum levels. You're going to need to do a LOT of on track testing as well as some well documented time in the wind tunnel. I've looked into making them for FC's but it is just not worth the time effort and money. I don't think it's possible to even break even on a 11-16 year old car.

It would definately be nice to have a full underbody aero system for the car. Venturi's are great but to get them perfect it takes a lot of time and money. If i decide to do one it will be when I'm working for someone else and it will be a 1 of piece. I don't plan to wind tunnel test it because i can get just as good if not better results with data acq...

lets keep it on topic guys, we should start another thread for rear diffusers to get more intrested and info on that.

P.S. my rear diffuser will never really make a difference, i dont plan to go above 60mph in my fc, well sideways at least

Why don't you take care of prior business first you thief.

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...hreadid=299082

I wouldn't do business with people like this.
