Oh, ok, i get it. Maybe I'll have some time this weekend to try and do that - hopefully this nice weather we're having will hold out too.

Finally an update...

Got the subframe mounted along with the diff brace. Damn some of those bolts were on there. The nuts holding on the brackets for the steering rack were on so tight, the brackets bent. I'm going to have to find some new ones I think. Anyway, on to the pics

Before shot.

So empty

It's in!

old subframe

Rear diff brace in place

That's it for now. Hope to get my suspension back from my buddy in WV soon with the new bushings. I just ordered all the pillow ***** and had them sent out there too.

I have the wiring harness on the way to the house and looking to pick up the engine mount brackets locally this weekend - man what a pain in the *** those are to find.

Now would be a great time to add some heat shielding to the firewall and tranny tunnel. I'm using this stuff in my Spec Miata and it keeps the car much cooler.

I got the full big roll and wound up using a little more than half. Since the Miata is smaller, you may use more.

Good to see progress... I got the LSX bug myself and just got my car running about a month ago. You're going to love it... around town it's so much fun. Can't wait to put it on track. What radiator/intake setup are you running?

Ok thanks, gives me a good idea of where to start.

I'm leaning towards the Samberg setup even though it is kind of pricy.

I'm hoping so, but no promises. I'm on a big push to get all the bits but then i still need to get it built. Fortunately my work travel has died down significantly of late, so that is helping me have time to work on this and plan stuff out.

Nah, it's an OE LSx harness modified by Pez over on the v8rx7 forum, or norotors as it is called now.

yes, the stock rear is fine for a while as long as you can eliminate wheel hop, there are plenty of ways to do this.

Sorry for your luck.

You don't really need one with the LS6. It's debatable by who you talk to but most who use the LS6 don't use it.

To the OP, sorry about your motor but now you can enter the land of "endless TQ".

I've decided that it's cheap insurance and I'm going to put the accusump in, probably a 3L sump and electronic switch.

Just stumbled across this thread while looking for some race car build tech info for our car and found this.

FYI, that's not an OE modified harness, we built that harness from scratch, brand spankin new. You must've bought Carl's harness. Anyway, PM me at norotors if you have any questions. I'm not over here very often.

Nice work so far! Plan on doing this swap myself pretty soon for my race car project. Got a couple of questions for ya:

1 - What subframe kit are you using? Looks like the Samberg
2 - Is the LS6 you got drive-by-wire? Are you going to stick with that or convert to DBC?

I'm using the Samberg subframe kit, it is really well made.
My LS6 has a prototype DBC TB, so I don't have to convert - which I would do my best to do if it was DBW.
