Thanks, I'll go sign up.

For those looking for even more time, the Alfa-Romeo Small-Bore event is at VIR the weekend prior to this. Great event, well run, etc. Should be on MotorsportsReg.com

See you guy there!

Did any of you sign up for the FSR in May? Didn't see anyone's name on the register. May do this event or CHIN at WGI...tough call.

Ramon,
There should be several of us at the FSR event in May. Registration just opened up. I know Fritz, Ptrhahn, and myself will all be there.

I've been working overtime (since I'm unemployed as of Monday anyway) on getting the car finished. At the rate I'm going it should be a couple more weeks if the rest of my parts get here. I'm holding off on registration till it moves under its own power again though

Sounding more appealing. Someone please remind me the difference between Red and Black groups. Which one is for advanced vs instructors. I rarely do PCA events because of the difficulty and politics associated with getting into the crowded top group. This makes a difference as the White group tends to just form trains.

Hi Ramon,
Hopefully you can make it down for this one. Both red and black are for advanced drivers comfortable w/ open passing and red is for the faster cup/gt3/FD (hehe) variety.

I love that there's a singular GT3/FD "variety" :-)

When we were there in September, I don't think there was anyone there that could touch Fritz.

There's always a few cup cars that blow my doors and of course a well driven RS or GT3 but the FD is no slouch

How do you propose I get registered for the Red group? Last PCA had me in White which was horrible. Anyone interested in being a reference? Because if I'm not running with you guys then what's the point. Incidentally I have been doing open passing for many years with Chin.

You need prior PCA experience/sign-off to run in an open passing group? I have never run with this club before. Hrm, I'm not too strong at VIR though, maybe it'd be better to have an instructor anyway.

Ramon,
Contact the registrar, give them your resume, and the vouch from Fritz.

Ok, I'm in. Registered last night for the Black group. Fritz I may have to take you up on that reference offer. Trying to convince Josh to register as well. He is concerned that PCA won't like his stock RX7 seats--no hole in seat for the 5pt.

In any case let me know how much beer I should bring :-)

Very Cool.

I can't remember the last time I wasn't the the only RX7 at an event, except for when I'm one of two (the other being Fritz).

Indeed, this should be a good one.

I may have to drop a new engine in before this thing kicks off

Just buy that two car trailer and bring a back up car... I know how you roll Or maybe have that GT3 there by then. If so, I want a ride. I think once you drive my yellow car(and yes, come hell or high water, it will be there), you'll forget all about it.

Really looking forward to having a bunch of rx-7's out there.

he he. Oddly, my car is track ready right now as it is virtually untouched (except for new tranny) since I hauled it away from the first day of this event last year.

However, I'm hoping to have some new shtuff on by then.
