Wow you can definitely see the metal thickness differences around the upper dowel pins when compared to the later series engines.

Nice build! Look like it's coming along quickly. Can't wait to see more of your track videos haha, I've always enjoyed them.

I will chime in ...,,, The rails from extremerotaries.com come in -8 port size, but can be reduced to-6 with a reducing fitting.
Hope that helps...

Yep, Chip is correct, this is what I got back from XtremeRotaries when I asked them via email:

>>The threads suit a ¾” unf o-ring fitting , which is also the same as -8 AN .

Damien here's some inspiration for your 20b project. I just had to share because this thing is sorted out very nicely. It's way more extreme than your current plans but who knows, it may lead a way to future upgrading.

I can attest that Wouter is Fast. That car makes a ton of HP. I was running my 13BT FC at the event and watched both Wouter (20BT) and Jack (LS V8) disappear down the straights.

I am loving this thread. I also have a 20b FD in the UK and currently its undergoing a MOTEC ECU fabrication. I will keep you posted Damian regarding the up coming results. I heard from one tuner that M84 has rotary related issues. But my tuners WGT Auto Developments is saying that he is not right.

So after its installed, I will post the BHP figures and the response of the ECU

The claim should be process soon so I should be back in action shortly!!!

Yeah and you should see the forms you have to fill out for the insurance claim. They want to see receipts, credit card authorizations, the works. Let's say the item had a $1,000 value but you got it for $500 because you're personal friends with the seller. They'll only give you $500 even if it costs $2,000 to buy another one.

Major Bummer man. Hope it is all sorted out as quickly as possible! Are you trying to meet any kind of time line or is the build conditions based?

Hello all, well it has been a while since i have posted an update. Basically, i am getting screwed by UPS on the 'UPS lost my shimpent' thing and had to just buy the stuff again, so that was a big setback.

Ohh well, back to the build. I have some more info on the electronics/ignition setup and more pics of the engine build.

Current plan for ignition:
- M&W Pro 16 CDI Ignition (dual box version for the 3 rotor setup) http://www.mwignitions.com/pdf/Pro16_S3.pdf
- MSD Street Blaster Coils (or somthing similar)

More engine build pics:

New sleeves installed

Rotor housings cleaned up

Irons cleaned up

Looking good together

More updates to come soon...

Hey Brent :-)

Ya, basically they admitted they lost it, but are only paying out $100 of the close to $2K worth of rebuild parts that thye lost.

...but I am excited to get this back in full swing again!!! ;-)

Hey Damian,

That really does suck and so do UPS.

Glad you're getting back on track, I'll come over and crew if you and Ted do an enduro.

Damian, why not run the AEM coils? They provide about the same MJ as the M&W for significantly less and with less boxes in the engine bay as they can come with builtin ignitors.

Hey thewird,
I am not familiar with the AEM coils, however I was looking at using these at it may be the same coil, AEM just rebrands it?
http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/i...oil-p-394.html

I am guessing you meant these for AEM?
